February 26th - March 3rd Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Adi Hunt - Southern Valley
During the state tournament last week, Hunt averaged 12 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game. The Eagles finished as Class D1 State Runners-up.
BOYS
Lane Bybee - Dundy County Stratton
Bybee had 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in their win over Sutton in their district final.
February 19th - February 25th Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Jacelyn Jorgensen - Paxton
In the Tigers 77-59 district final win over Leyton, Jorgensen had 19 points and 15 rebounds. This win qualified Paxton for the state tournament for the first time in 15 years.
BOYS
Jeremiah Ingison - Maywood-Hayes Center
Ingison had two double-doubles last week during subdistricts as he had 19 points and 11 rebounds in their 77-46 win over Wallace and in their 73-50 win over Medicine Valley he had 23 points, 10 rebounds, and eight steals. In their district final win over Potter-Dix, he had 20 points.
February 12th - February 18th Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Brylyn Springer - Cambridge
Springer had 27 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks in the Trojans loss to Wauneta-Palisade in the Class D2-9 subdistrict.
Madelyn Tryon - Southwest
Tryon placed 6th at the NSAA State Wrestling tournament at 190 pounds and is the first RPAC girl to medal since having a girls division.
BOYS
Braxton Hammond - Southern Valley
Hammond clinched his 150th career win in the consolation semifinals at the NSAA State Wrestling meet where he finished 3rd at 120 pounds.
February 5th - February 11th Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Kyra Nelms - Southwest
Nelms had a huge game against Axtell as she had 23 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks in their win.
BOYS
Jackson Kerchal - Dundy County Stratton
Kerchal had a crazy game in their win over Southern Valley as he had 29 points, 21 rebounds, five assists, five steals, and four blocks.
January 29th - February 4th Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Lauren Moore - Arapahoe
Moore finished as District-Runner up in the B6 bowling district as she qualified for state. Moore bowled 159, 143, and 168 for a total of 470.
BOYS
Jeremiah Ingison - Maywood-Hayes Center
Ingison had three double-doubles last week as he had 12 points and 15 rebounds in their win over Hershey, 24 points and 13 rebounds in their win over Hitchcock County, and 23 points and 14 rebounds in their win over Anselmo-Merna.
January 22nd - January 28th Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Karissa Stengel - Maywood-Hayes Center
In the Wolves RPAC West Semi-final 52-45 win over Paxton on Thursday, Stengel tallied 15 points, 12 rebounds, and eight steals.
BOYS
Braxton Hammond - Southern Valley
Hammond went 11-0 last week as he placed 1st at three meets defeating eight ranked opponents. Hammond also clinched his 100th pin with his record at 39-2. He has 140 wins in his career.
January 15th - January 21st Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Ann Bose - Southern Valley
In the Eagles 64-28 win over Bertrand in the 1st round of the RPAC Tournament, Bose set a new school record for points in a game with 40. She added six rebounds and 10 steals to her stat sheet.
BOYS
Cambridge Trojan Wrestling Team
The Trojans scored 156.5 points as they clinched the RPAC Wrestling Championship for the first time in school history.
January 8th - January 14th Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Clara Spargo - Dundy County Stratton
Spargo led the team with 20 points and 14 rebounds in their 51-39 win over Hitchcock County.
BOYS
Jackson Kerchal - Dundy County Stratton
Kerchal had 27 points and 10 rebounds in the Tigers 75-66 win over Loomis.
January 1st - January 7th Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Ashlynn Latimer- Southwest
Latimer placed 1st over Hayden Marks of Bridgeport by fall in 1:31 at the Sidney Invite at 170 pounds.
BOYS
Micah Gerlach - Cambridge
At 120 pounds, Gerlach defeated the #1 and #2 rated wrestlers in Class D in back-to-back matches to place 1st in his weight class at the Amherst Invite.
December 25th - December 31st Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Katie Jarecke- Hitchcock County
Jarecke led the team with 20 points and six steals in their 47-40 win over Brady during the Brady Holiday Tournament.
BOYS
Carson Trompke- Cambridge
Trompke had 25 points in the Trojans 58-55 win over #5 Maywood-Hayes Center last Friday.
December 18th - December 24th Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Jocelyn Cheek- Maxwell
Cheek had a double-double and a well-rounded game in their first-round win over South Loup in the Wildcats Pre-Holiday Tournament. She had 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and four blocks.
BOYS
Jeremiah Ingison- Maywood-Hayes Center
Ingison had two double-doubles In both of their wins in the Paxton Pre-Holiday Tournament. The first one was a 31 point and 14 rebound performance against Garden County and the other was a 28 point and 15 rebound game against Paxton.
December 11th - December 17th Athletes of the Week

Ann Bose- Southern Valley
Bose had 26 points in the Eagles loss to Gothenburg. In their win over Ravenna, Bose posted 19 points and 10 rebounds and in the Eagles win over Loomis, she tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds seven assists, and seven steals.
BOYS
Jeremy Felix- Alma
Felix placed 1st at the Fan Jorgensen Invite at 190 pounds by winning with a major decision score of 10-1.

Skylar Johnson - Paxton
Johnson placed 1st at the Sandhills Valley Invite on December 9th at 190 pounds.
BOYS
Micah Gerlach - Cambridge
Gerlach placed 1st at the Twin Loup Invitational on 12/8 at 120 pounds.
November 27th - December 3rd Athletes of the Week
GIRLS
Kesli Cox - Maywood-Hayes Center
Cox was on fire as she led the team with 30 points as she drilled eight threes in their 62-51 win over Southwest. Those eight threes set a new co-op record.
BOYS
Trenton Roskop - Arapahoe
In the Warriors 52-51 loss to Overton, Roskop posted a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds.
