It was a battle of two RPAC West teams in the 3rd and 4th place game for Boy's Class D1. For #2 Maywood-Hayes Center and #5 Dundy County Stratton This was the fourth time these squads had played each other this season, as the Wolves won the first three matchups.
This time though, Dundy County Stratton won 67-59. The Wolves started out strong in the first quarter as they led 13-7 after one period. In the second quarter, the tide turned as the Tigers put up 17 points and going into the half they led 24-22.
In the third quarter, DCS created more distance for themselves as they put up 26 points to Maywood-Hayes Center's 17 and going to the final quarter the Tigers led 50-39. In the final period, Maywood-Hayes Center made a run at the Tigers, getting within a couple of possessions, but could not complete the comeback.
Dundy County Stratton finishes the season with a record of 24-5. Maywood-Hayes Center ends the year at 26-4.
