DUNDY COUNTY STRATTON SPRING SPORTS PREVIEW

DUNDY COUNTY STRATTON GIRLS HAVE HIGHER PARTICIPATION AND GREAT POTENTIAL THIS SPRING

Third-year head coach for the Tigers, Hannah Stroup, said that she is excited with the higher participation numbers this spring for her girl's squad. Her group has been solid in practices thus far and she is excited to see this incoming group of freshmen contribute.

While there are no returning state qualifiers, Stroup looks for Emma Baldeh, Lexi Yrkoski, and Kennedy Bailey to be contributors this season.

Dundy County Stratton will begin their season at the Holdrege Invite on Friday, March 24th.

TIGERS RETURN SOLID CORE AND BRING IN FRESH TALENT

Hannah Storup is returning a solid core of her squad while also bringing in some talent this spring as well. She has a larger team than she has had in her last couple of years which she was excited about.

Returning state qualifiers are Jackson Kerchal in the 100-meter dash (8th), high jump, and 4x100-meter relay, Alex Englot in relays, Andrew Englot in relays, Corbin Horner in relays, and Sammy Fasso in the shot put. Newcomers look to be Ethan Latta and Layne Bybee.

The Tigers will begin the season at the Holdrege Invite on March 24th.

DCS GOLF TEAM LOOKS TO BLEND EXPERIENCE AND GROWTH THIS SEASON

For the Dundy County Stratton Tiger Golf Team, they will have a mixture of experienced golfers, along with some freshmen that will develop throughout the season. "The juniors on my team will be competitive, while I expect a lot of growth from the Freshmen. The team should be decently competitive overall," said Samuel Cahow, the head coach of the Tiger Golf Team.

Lane Brown, Brodie Rigers, and Taos Dale are returning for DCS.

DCS will begin the season on March 28th at the Cambridge Invite.
