
Eight RPAC wrestlers are still alive on Championship Saturday; two are competing for gold, while six others have clinched a medal of some kind. First Round Consolation Matches
Tagen Yrkoski of Dundy County Stratton wrestled Hunter Rutten of Riverside at 126 pounds in the first-round consolation match. Yrkoski defeated Rutten by a 5-3 decision and advanced to the second consolation round.
At 138 pounds, Cole Block of Hitchcock County faced Keston Beavers of Elm Creek. Block fell to Beavers in 1:52 to end his season with a record of 30-22.
At 150 pounds, Dylan Kollmorgen of Hitchcock County faced Brody Flynn of Nebraska Christian. Kollmorgen fell to Flynn in 2:52 and ended his season with a record of 32-26.
Carter Hanes of Cambridge wrestled Paden Morava of Crawford at 150 pounds. Hanes was able to defeat Morava by fall in 3:54 to advance to the second round of consolation matches.

At 157 pounds, Colton Perks of Cambridge wrestled Colton Mader of Crawford. Perks fell to Mader in 4:09 to end his season with a record of 39-16.
Sam Bantam of Southern Valley wrestled Branson Anderson of North Central at 157 pounds. Bantam wrestled hard but lost to Anderson by a 7-2 decision. He finished his season with a record of 33-10.
Colton Fote of Paxton wrestled 157 pounds and faced Jaxon Wood of Yutan. Fote fell to Wood in 1:24 to end his season with a record of 30-15.
Samuel Hare of Hitchcock County faced Gage Jensen of Randolph at 165 pounds. Jensen defeated Hare by fall in 1:59, and Hare finished his season with a record of 36-21.
Ryker Copeland wrestled at 165 pounds against Caleb Kindschuh of Axtell. Copeland fell to Kindschuh in 3:36 and ended his season with a 40-13 record.
Joseph Rivera of Hitchcock County wrestled Jace Rosenkrans of St. Mary's at 175 pounds. Rosenkrans pinned Rivera in 0:21 and ended his season with a record of 7-14.
Dalten Hagen faced Matt Hittner of Fullerton at 175 pounds. Hagen defeated Hittner by fall in 2:16 and advanced to the next round of the consolation matches.
Laken Wissink of Dundy County Stratton faced Isaac Fanta of Creighton at 190 pounds. Wissink defeated Fanta by fall in 2:20 to advance to the second round of the consolation matches.
At 190 pounds, Nate Grilli of Southern Valley wrestled Billy Marshall of Sutton. Grilli defeated Marshall by a 9-3 decision to advance to the next round.
Colt Gosnell of Maxwell faced Luke Hagedorn of GACC at 190 pounds. Gosnell advanced to the next round with a 7-1 decision win over Hagedorn.
At 215 pounds, Trev Burke of Cambridge battled with Dalton Herly of St. Mary's. Burke fell to Herley in 1:58 to end his season with a 22-18 record.
At 285 pounds, John Fricke faced Caleb Sharman of High Plains. Fricke fell to Sharman in 1:13 and ended his season with a record of 22-13.
Jacen Smith of Arapahoe and Jayden Loghry of Hitchcock County wrestled each other at 285 pounds. Smith defeated Loghry by fall in 3:41. Smith advanced to the second round of consolation matches, and Loghry's season ended with a record of 25-24.
Second Round Consolation Matches
Connor Edwards of Hi-Line wrestled Dalton Dugan of Central Valley at 106 pounds. Edwards lost to Dugan by an 8-5 decision and ended his season with a 30-8 record.
Dylan Wendell of Bertrand wrestled Holden Beel of Ainsworth at 113 pounds. Wendell wrestled hard but fell to Beel in 4:37 to end his season with a record of 24-15.
At 120 pounds, Scotty Anderson faced Luke Gardner of Garden County. Anderson defeated Gardner by a 9-3 decision to advance to the third round.
At 126 pounds, Tagen Yrkoski of Dundy County Stratton faced Cale Larson of Garden County. Yrkoski advanced to the third round due to a medical forfeit from Larsen.
Dierks Sayer of Cambridge faced Cameron McGinnis of Kimball at 138 pounds. Sayer fell to McGinnis in 2:10 and ended his season with a 40-10 record.
At 144 pounds, Luke Harper of Sutherland wrestled Jaxon Vinson of Osmond-Wausa. Harper made quick work of Vinson as he earned the fall in 0:46 to advance to the next round.
At 150 pounds, Carter Hanes of Cambridge faced Max Egr of Yutan. Hanes lost to Egr by an 11-5 decision and ended his season with a 37-8 record.
At 175 pounds, Dalten Hagen of Hitchcock County wrestled Logan Nelson of Wisner-Pilger. Hagan lost to Nelson by an 8-2 decision and ended his season with a 36-15 record.
David Bryner of Wauneta-Palisade faced Gavin Wortman of Randolph at 175 pounds. Bryner fought hard but fell to Wortman in 4:11, ending his season with a record of 45-9.
At 190 pounds, Nate Grilli of Southern Valley wrestled Wyatt Doerr of Plainview. Grilli's season ended with a 2-0 decision loss and a record of 30-16.
Laken Wissink of Dundy County Stratton battled Chase Thomas of Neligh-Oakdale at 190 pounds. Wissink lost to Thomas by a major decision, 13-0, ending his season with a record of 29-13.
Colt Gosnell of Maxwell and Kreyton Wiese of Wauneta-Palisade wrestled each other at 190 pounds. Gosnell fell to Wiese in 1:18 and ended his season with a 41-14 record. With that win, Wiese advanced to the third round of consolation brackets.
Karson Shuler of Hitchcock County battled with Grant Osborne of West Holt at 215 pounds. Shuler advanced to the third round by defeating Osborne by fall in 3:53.
Colby Noel faced Dalton Herley of St. Mary's at 215 pounds. Noel lost to Herley by a 4-2 decision and ended his season with a record of 36-12.
At 285 pounds, Jacen Smith wrestled with Braxton Richards of North Platte St. Pat's. Richards defeated Smith by a 7-5 decision to end Smith's season with a record of 38-9.
Third Round Consolation Matches
At 120 pounds, Scotty Anderson of Sutherland wrestled Logan Robirds of North Platte St. Pat's. Anderson was able to clinch a medal as he defeated Robirds by a 4-1 decision. He will wrestle in the consolation semifinals against Brett Larson of Brady for a spot in either the 3rd or 5th place matches.
Tagen Yrkoski of Dundy County Stratton wrestled Blane Stutzman of Howells-Dodge at 126 pounds. Stutzman was too much for Yrkoski as he lost by tech fall to end his season with a record of 36-12.
At 144 pounds, Luke Harper of Sutherland faced Grady Rassmussen of Ravenna. Harper's season ended when he fell to Rassmussen in 2:46. He finished with a record of 45-7.
Kreyton Wiese of Wauneta-Palisade wrestled Carsen Goes of Southern at 190 pounds. Wiese secured a medal as he defeated Goes via fall in 1:27. He will wrestle in the consolation semifinals for a spot in the 3rd or 5th place match, where he will wrestle Cale Buss of Burwell.
At 215 pounds, Karson Shuler of Hitchcock County battled Tate Kvanvig of Mullen. Shuler defeated Kvanvig to secure a medal as he advanced to the consolation semifinals via a 4-2 decision. He will wrestle Logan Dodson for a spot in the 3rd or 5th place match.
Semifinal Matches
At 113 pounds, Grady Dempcy of Sutherland and Wyatt Forney of Southern battled for a chance to wrestle for gold. Dempcy lost to Forney by major decision, 19-10, and will wrestle in the consolation semifinals on Saturday morning. He will face Dallas Wadsworth of Central Valley for a spot in the 3rd or 5th place match.
Oliver Nutter of Sutherland wrestled Drew Dawe of Burwell at 132 pounds. Nutter lost to Dawe by a 10-3 decision and will wrestle Saturday morning in the consolation semifinals. He will wrestle Connor Rempe of Sandy Creek for a spot in either the 3rd or 5th place match.
At 138 pounds, Briggs Hill of Arapahoe wrestled Josue Munoz of Homer. Hill defeated Munoz by a 2-0 decision to advance to the state championship match on Saturday afternoon. Hill will face Corbin Hoefer of Neligh-Oakdale.
In Class C at 190 pounds, Jeremy Felix of Alma faced Brock Jeannoutot of Crofton/Bloomfield. Felix got the pin in 3:18 to advance to the gold medal match on Saturday afternoon. He will wrestle against Cope Smith of Amherst.
At 215 pounds, Trey Downey of Arapahoe and Luke Pawloski of Pleasanton took the mat for the chance to advance to the gold medal match. Undefeated Pawloski was able to defeat Downey by major decision, 9-0. Downey will wrestle Saturday morning in the consolation semifinals against Cole Vorderstrasse of Thayer Central for a spot in either the 3rd or 5th place match.
Wrestling will begin at 9:00 A.M. CT with the consolation semifinals followed by the 3rd and 5th place matches. The Championship matches will begin at 3:00 P.M. CT. *NOTE * The finals will begin with the 157-pound weight class and work up to finish with the 150-pound weight class.
Wrestling in the consolation semifinals for a medal are Grady Dempcy of Sutherland, Scotty Anderson of Sutherland, Oliver Nutter of Sutherland, Kreyton Wiese of Wauneta-Palisade, Karson Shuler of Hitchcock County, and Trey Downey of Arapahoe.
