Alma is in Class C and had one wrestler qualify, Senior Jeremy Felix, who entered the state tournament with a record of 49-0. Felix was slated to face Caleb Redstrom of Raymond Central but didn't wrestle due to a medical forfeit. Felix headed into his quarterfinal match fresh and ready to take on Tregan Fitzke of Logan View. In the quarterfinals, Felix defeated Fitzke by an 8-3 decision to advance to Friday night's semifinal match against Brock Jeannoutot of Crofton/Bloomfield.

At 106 pounds, Connor Edwards of Hi-Line entered the tournament with a record of 26-6. Edwards faced Mason Holmes of Kimball in round one. Edwards defeated Holmes by fall in 1:56 to advance to the quarterfinals, where he would face Kason Palser of Ravenna. Edwards lost to Palser in the quarterfinals by a 6-2 decision. He will battle the winner of Dalton Dugan of Central Valley and Ryan Ragsdale of Hemingford in the second-round consolation matches.
Dylan Wendell of Bertrand entered the tournament with a record of 23-13 and wrestled Coy Bernhardt of Morrill in the first round at 113 pounds. Wendell pinned Bernhardt in 1:34 to advance to the quarterfinals, where he would wrestle Brody Jensen of Burwell. Jensen defeated Wendell by fall in 0:49 in the quarterfinals. Wendell will fall to the second-round consolation matches and will wrestle the winner of Holsen Beel of Ainsworth and Weston Putnam of Elm Creek.
Also at 113 pounds is Sutherland's Grady Dempcy, who entered the tournament with a record of 30-1. Dempcy faced Weston Putnam of Elm Creek and was able to advance to the quarterfinals with a tech fall win in 0:53. In the quarterfinal match, Dempcy would battle with Tate Wood of Fullerton. Dempcy defeated Wood by a 7-6 decision to advance to the semifinals on Friday night. Dempcy will face Wyatt Forney of Southern in the semifinals.
Scotty Anderson of Sutherland faced Seth Hlavac of Aquinas Catholic at 120 pounds. Anderson entered the tournament with a record of 34-6. He defeated Hlavac by fall in 1:43 to advance to the quarterfinals, where he would take on Lincoln Nekoliczak of Central Valley. Nekoliczak was tough and defeated Anderson by tech fall, sending him to the second round of consolation matches. He will wrestle the winner in that match between Landon Stephan of North Central and Luke Gardner of Garden County.
At 126 pounds, Tagen Yrkoski of Dundy County Stratton entered the tournament with a record of 34-10 and faced Hudson Urkoski of High Plains. Yrkoski fell to Urkoski in 1:54, sending him to the consolation rounds on Friday morning.
Oliver Nutter of Sutherland entered the tournament with a record of 38-0 at 132 pounds and faced Evan Crawford of Centennial in the first round. Nutter advanced to the quarterfinals with a fall in 1:24 over Crawford. In the quarterfinals, Nutter wrestled Kolby Nash of Weeping Water and secured a semifinal spot by defeating Nash by fall in 1:49. Nutter will Drew Daw of Burwell in the semifinal match on Friday night.
At 138 pounds, Dierks Sayer of Cambridge entered the tournament with a record of 39-8 and faced Tyson Freeman of Loomis in the first round. It was a battle, but Sayer earned the win via fall at 5:18. This win not only sent him to the quarterfinals but also his 150th win. Congratulations, Dierks! In his quarterfinal match, Sayer would face Josue Munoz of Homer. Munoz defeated Sayer by a major decision, 20-9, sending him to the second-round consolation match. He will face the winner of Trent Mefford of Aquinas Catholic and Cameron McGinnis of Kimball on Friday morning.
Also at 138 pounds was Arapahoe's Briggs Hill, who entered the tournament with a record of 37-6, and Hitchcock County's Cole Block, who entered the tournament with a record of 30-20. These two faced each other in round one, and Hill got the win by tech fall to advance to the quarterfinals and sent Block to the consolation rounds on Friday morning against Keston Beavers of Elm Creek.
Hill faced Austin Mayfield of Burwell in the quarterfinals and was able to defeat him by a 9-2 decision. That win advanced him to the semifinals on Friday morning, where he will face Jose Munoz of Homer.
At 144 pounds, Luke Harper of Sutherland entered the tournament with a 43-5 record and faced Emmerson Earl of Palmer. Harper defeated Earl by fall in 3:26 to advance to the quarterfinals, where he would wrestle Jamison Slaymaker of West Holt. Slaymaker defeated Harper by major decision 15-2. Harper will wrestle in the second-round consolation matches and will face the winner between Jaxon Vinson of Osmond-Wausa and Breckyn Collins of North Platte St. Pat's.
Carter Hanes of Cambridge entered the tournament at 150 pounds with a record of 36-6 and faced Jarrett Wells of Anselmo-Merna. Hanes fell in his first-round match in 5:02 to move to the consolation matches on Friday morning.
At 150 pounds, Dylan Kollmorgen of Hitchcock County entered the tournament with a record of 32-24 and faced Luke Shoemaker of Central Valley. Kollmorgen lost to Shoemaker by a 9-8 decision and moved to the consolation brackets on Friday morning.
Colton Perks of Cambridge entered the tournament with a record of 39-14 at 157 pounds and faced Kelby Coufal of Aquinas Catholic in the first round. Perks lost to Cougal by tech fall in 2:00 to move to the consolation matches on Friday morning.
Sam Bantam of Southern Valley entered the tournament with a record of 33-8 and faced Trentin Brown of Burwell at 157 pounds. Bantam lost to Brown by a 7-1 decision and moved to Friday morning's consolation matches.
At 157 pounds, Colton Fote of Paxton entered the tournament with a record of 30-13 and faced William Pokorny of Central Valley. Fote fell to Pokorny in 1:38 and will wrestle in Friday morning's consolation matches.
At 165 pounds, Samuel Hare of Hitchcock County entered the tournament with a record of 36-19 and faced Rowan Jarosik of Sandy Creek in the first round. Hare fell in 0:56 to move to the consolation brackets on Friday morning.
Ryker Copeland of Sutherland started the state tournament with a record of 40-11 and faced Josh Mace of Archbishop Bergan at 165 pounds. Copeland fell to Mace in 1:29 and moved to Friday morning's consolation matches.
At 175 pounds, Joseph Rivera of Hitchcock County started the tournament with a 7-12 record and faced Maddox Jones of SEM in round one. Rivera fell in 0:19 to move to Friday morning's consolation matches.
Also at 175 pounds was Dalten Hagen of Hitchcock County. Hagen entered the tournament with a record of 35-13. Hagen faced Tripp Davenport of Overton and lost by an 11-6 decision. Hagen will wrestle on Friday morning in the consolation matches against Matt Hittner of Fullerton.
David Bryner of Wauntea-Palisade faced Isaac O'Brien of Ansley-Litchfield at 175 pounds. Bryner entered the tournament with a record of 44-7. Bryner defeated O'Brien by fall in 1:07 to advance to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals against Jordan Timmerman of GACC, Bryner fell in 5:01, sending him to the consolation matches. He will wrestle the winner of Jacob Hanvey of Creighton and Gavin Wortman of Randolph on Friday morning.
At 190 pounds, Kreyton Weise of Wauneta-Palisade entered the tournament with a 28-6 record and battled Billy Marshall of Sutton in round one. Weise defeated Marshall by fall in 4:49 to advance to the quarterfinals against Wyatt Stieb of Arcardia/Loup City. Stieb defeated Wiese by fall in 4:45. Wiese will wrestle the winner of Luke Hagedorn of GACC and Colt Gosnell of Maxwell on Friday morning.
Southern Valley's Nate Grilli entered the 190-pound state tournament with a 29-14 record and faced Wyatt Stieb of Arcadia-Loup City in round one. Grilli fell to Stieb in 4:42 and will move to the Friday morning consolation matches.
At 190 pounds, Colt Gosnell of Maxwell entered the tournament with a record of 40-12. He battled with Cale Buss of Burwell in round one. Buss defeated Gosnell by fall in 4:00 to send Gosnell to the consolation matches on Friday morning.
Dundy County Stratton's Laken Wissink entered the tournament with a record of 28-11 and faced Coy Vrbka of Shelby Rising City at 190 pounds. Wissink fell to Vrbka in 1:40 and moved to the consolation matches on Friday morning.
At 215 pounds, Cambridge's Trev Burke, who entered with a record of 22-16, faced Arapahoe's Trey Downey, who entered with a record of 33-16. Downey was able to advance to the quarterfinals by defeating Burke by fall in 3:05. Burke moved on to the Friday morning consolation matches and will wrestle Dalton Herley of St. Mary's.
Downey advanced to the quarterfinals against Tate Kvanvig of Mullen and got the fall in 2:36 and advanced to the semifinals on Friday night. Downey will face Luke Pawloski of Pleasanton, who is 47-0.
Karson Shuler of Hitchcock County entered the 215-pound tournament with a record of 24-5 and faced Cole Vorderstrasse of Thayer Central in round one. Shuler defeated Vorderstrasse by an 8-4 decision to advance to the quarterfinals against Luke Pawloski of Pleasanton. Pawloski defeated Shuler by major decision, 24-11. Shuler will wrestle on Friday morning in the second-round consolation match against the winner of Grant Osborne of West Holt and Ernesto Perez of Perkins County.
Also at 215 pounds, Colby Noel of Southern Valley entered the tournament with a record of 35-10 and faced Kip Leonard of North Central. Noel advanced to the quarterfinals with an 8-1 decision win over Leonard. Noel would advance to wrestle Logan Dodson of North Platte St. Pats. Dodson defeated Noel by fall in 3:52 to fall to the second round of consolation matches. He will face the winner of Dalton Herley of St. Mary's and Trev Burke of Cambridge.
John Fricke of Paxton entered the tournament with a 22-11 record and faced Collin Vrbka of Shelby Rising City at 285 pounds. Fricke fell to Vrbka in 1:54 to move to the consolation matches on Friday morning.
Jacen Smith of Arapahoe faced Paul Fehlhafer of Centennial in round one of the tournament at 285 pounds. Smith entered the tournament with a record of 37-7. Smith lost to Fehlhafer by a 1-0 decision and moved to the consolation brackets on Friday morning.
Also at 285 pounds, Jayden Loghry of Hitchcock County entered the tournament with a record of 25-22 and faced Caden Zutavern of Sandhills/Thedford in round one. Loghry fell in 1:32 and will wrestle on Friday morning in the consolation matches.
