As a team the Roughriders were excellent. Shooting a 352 and placing 4th as a team. Colton Sedlacek led the way with a 9th place finish and an 83. Houston Billeter took the last medal spot, at 15th with an 86. Hunter Blume finished 20th with an 87, and Treven Critchfield broke 100 with a 96 and finished 31st. Hitting their stride ahead of districts, Southwest looked solid in Bertrand.
Alma
This has been a fun, young team to watch this spring. They finished 5th on Thursday and shot a 358. William VanBoening placed 8th with an 81. Crew Bennett was just outside of placing with an 86 and finished 17th, Grady Faimon shot a 93 and finished 27th, Titus Epp had a 98 and finished 34th. They will look to keep their strong play rolling in districts next week.
Southern Valley
The Eagles took home a 6th place finish on Thursday with a 365. Kamden Bose kept his steady play going as he finished 7th with an 81. Braxton Hammond shot a 91 and finished 23rd. Jace Hammond and Rian Grove each broke 100 with a 95 and 98 finished 30th and 33rd. The Eagles have the golfers to score well, and we will see of they can do that at districts.
Bertrand
The Vikings played pretty well at their home invite. They posted a 372 and a 7th place finish. In having the chance to watch Scott Bieker play a few holes, he was excellent. An 11th place finish and an 84 was some good work by Bieker. JC Kehr and Quentin Mumm played well as they scored 91's and finished 24th and 25th.
Cambridge
The Trojans had a big day from Micah Gerlach as he placed 4th with a 79. All phases of his game were pretty good throughout the day. Brohdey Wood finished 28th with a 94 for the Trojans. Cambridge will be hosting districts next week, for them it will be nice to play on their home course.
Stay tuned for our weekly golf blog as we will have the district assignments there.
