Another week, another fun Q&A with an RPAC Athlete. This time it's Ella Fote of Paxton.
Q: What have you learned about teamwork in your days of playing sports?
A: Teamwork to me means working together to form a bond that is like another player. If you work together and have fun you already have an advantage over your competitor. I have learned that a pessimistic teammate will destroy the team. If one person has a bad attitude it will affect everyone’s game. When everyone has a good attitude you will have a better shot at winning a game.
Q: Would you rather play an instrument or listen to music?
A: I used to play the clarinet but I would definitely rather listen to music nowadays.
Q: Three reasons you like being part of team?
A: I like being part of a team because I have made some of my best friends from my traveling basketball team and my high school team. I love the bonds I create with my teammates throughout the season. Lastly, I like being part of a team because I have created some of my favorite memories, like going to state in basketball.
Q: What is your favorite part about competing?
A. My favorite part about competing is learning the strengths and weaknesses about myself. It is also fun to compete against a team you’ve never won against and win!
Q: Pregame Ritual or superstition?
A: My pregame ritual is listening to good music and thinking about the game in my head. On the bus and in the locker room, my teammates and I like to play hype music to help us get in the zone and in a good mood.
Q: Favorite Meal?
A: My favorite meal is cheese ravioli with a salad and lemonade.
Q: Do you have a secret talent?
A: I do not really have a secret talent but I can pull a calf if the need arises.
Q: If you could be any animal what would it be?
A: If I could be any animal I would be a squirrel because they can climb trees.
Q: Playlists or podcasts?
A: For long car rides I prefer podcasts but In general, I would prefer playlists.
Q: If you could have one superpower what would it be?
A: If I could have one superpower I would choose teleportation because then I can get where I am going a lot quicker. I also would not have to buy gas.
