Records Broken at Tuesday's Hi-Line Track Invite

What a vast change in the weather from last week! It was much colder, no sunshine until after the break, but one thing remained the same: some wind. Nonetheless, three meet records were broken at Tuesday's Hi-Line track invite in Elwood. Let's dive right in.

In the 100-meter dash, Asher Hecox of Hi-Line placed 1st with a time of 11.35, Grayson Koller of Arapahoe placed 3rd with a time of 11.78, and Colt Gosnell of Maxwell placed 5th with a time of 12.16.


In the 200-meter dash, Thunder Nelson of Bertrand placed 2nd with a time of 23.00, Brady Ahlemeyer of Cambridge placed 4th with a time of 24.07, Hayden Sich of Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 24.35, and Gosnell of Maxwell placed 6th with a time of 24.44.


In the 400-meter dash, Will Cacy of Arapahoe placed 1st with a time of 50.20, which set a new meet record and broke his own school record, Koller of Arapahoe placed 2nd with a time of 52.21, Jesse Reyes of Maxwell placed 3rd with a time of 52.72, Kael Garrett of Medicine Valley placed 4th with a time of 53.09, and Gage Rupp of Hi-Line placed 6th with a time of 55.04.

In the 800-meter run, Garrett of Medicine Valley placed 1st with a time of 2:06.35, Barrett Zikmund of Alma placed 2nd with a time of 2:10.77, Isaiah Neal of Alma placed 4th with a time of 2:12.11, Rupp of Hi-Line placed 5th with a time of 2:14.55, and Gavin Gunderson of Cambridge placed 6th with a time of 2:14.87.


In the 1600-meter run, Marcus Hernandez of Bertrand placed 2nd with a time of 5:12.77, Gudnerson of Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 5:16.86, and Vaughn Fennel of Alma placed 6th with a time of 5:29.66.


In the 3200-meter run, Hernandez of Bertrand placed 1st with a time of 11:00.60, Braden Sandfort of Cambridge placed 4th with a time of 12:04.55, Bryson Shriver of Alma placed 5th with a time of 12:11.72, and Shya Gudaitis of Medicine Valley placed 6th with a time of 12:37.35.


In the 100-meter hurdles, Kade Fisher of Arapahoe placed 1st with a time of 16.30, Chase Beitler of Hi-Line placed 3rd with a time of 16.89, and Traevyn Koch of Hi-Line placed 4th with a time of 17.03.


In the 300-meter hurdles, Beitler of Hi-Line placed 1st with a time of 43.71, Koch of Hi-Line placed 2nd with a time of 45.10, and Isaac Hernandez of Bertrand placed 6th with a time of 46.69.



In the 4x100-meter relay, Bertrand placed 1st with a time of 45.93, which was run by Eric Wood, Matthew Millers, Kayden Hatfield, and T. Nelson; Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 48.13, which was run by Henry Shoemaker, Gunderson, Braxton Mitchell, and Ahlemeyer; Medicine Valley placed 5th with a time of 49.13, which was run by Jesse Hazen, Lucas Einspahr, Mason Roblee, and Aiden Jones; and Alma placed 6th with a time of 49.15, which was run by Tucker Biskup, Neal, Archer Goosic, and Bladyn Herrick.


In the 4x400-meter relay, Arapahoe placed 1st with a time of 3:43.13, which was run by Sich, Fisher, Koller, and Cacy; Maxwell placed 3rd with a time of 3:50.24, which was run by Gosnell, Jagger Kleenwein, Reyes, and Owen Pagel; Alma placed 4th with a time of 3:50.37, which was run by Zikmund, Zane Clark, Creighton Lynch, and Neal; and Bertrand placed 5th with a time of 3:51.72, which was run by Wood, Millers, Hatfield, and M. Hernandez.



In the 4x800-meter relay, Alma placed 1st with a time of 9:04.26, which was run by Fennel, Lynch, Neal, and Zikmund; Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 9:31.53, which was run by Abram Norton, Sandfort, Russell Norton, and Gunderson; Arapahoe placed 4th with a time of 10:14.09, which was run by Thomas Magorian, Hudson Sich, Lael Rathbun, and Eli Carpenter; and Hi-Line placed 5th with a time of 11:07.30, which was run by Kane Cochrane, Grady Puls, Jakob Redwine, and Angel Salazar.


In the shot put, Ryan Oberg of Hi-Line placed 1st with a toss of 45'8", Spencer Gehrig of Alma placed 3rd with a toss of 41'0.5", Logan Turley of Southwest placed 5th with a toss of 40'0.5", and Trev Burke of Cambridge placed 6th with a toss of 38'11".


In discus, Oberg of Hi-Line placed 2nd with a throw of 131'9", Gehrig of Alma placed 3rd with a throw of 126'1", Ryan Maly of Alma palced 4th with a throw of 121'11", Caleb Neitzel of Maxwell placed 5th with a throw of 115'4", and Lynch of Alma placed 6th with a throw of 111'4".


in high jump, Roblee of Medicine Valley placed 1st with a jump of 6'0", Herrick of Alma placed 2nd with a jump of 5'10", Cochrane of Hi-Line placed 4th with a jump of 5'8", and Koch of Hi-Line placed 6th with a jump of 5'6".

In the 100-meter dash, Adi Hunt of Southern Valley placed 1st with a time of 12.01, which broke the school record she set on Friday and the meet record. JoLie Farr of Cambridge placed 2nd with a time of 12.39, and Ambie Custard of Southwest placed 5th at 13.10.


In the 200-meter dash, Hunt of Southern Valley placed 1st and set a new meet record with a time of 24.95, Farr of Cambridge placed 2nd with a time of 26.24, and Rylan Custard of Southwest placed 6th with a time of 28.39.

In the 400-meter dash, Desi Farner of Arapahoe placed 1st with a time of 62.71, Kamryn Scott of Alma placed 2nd with a time of 62.94, Rachel Harris of Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 64.13, Ruby McCune of Arapahoe placed 4th with a time of 64.69, and Jensyn Weiss of Cambridge placed 6th with a time of 66.08.

In the 1600-meter run, Shelby Schoene of Bertrand placed 1st with a time of 6:05, Benitez of Maxwell placed 2nd with a time of 6:18.41, Keilah Curtis of Maxwell placed 3rd with a time of 6:20.00, Madelyn Nelson of Maxwell placed 4th with a time of 6:23.56, and Grace Andrews of Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 6:26.99.

In discus, Baily of Southern Valley placed 1st with a throw of 112'8", Stout of Medicine Valley placed 2nd with a throw of 102'8", Gracey Hinson of Bertrand placed 4th with a throw of 98'5", and Kylee Kubert of Hi-Line placed 6th with a throw of 91'10".


In high jump, Billeter of Southwest placed 2nd with a jump of 5'0", J. Holtze of Cambridge placed 4th with a jump of 4'10", Alexys Eckmann of Alma placed 5th with a jump of 4'8", and Weiss of Cambridge placed 6th with a jump of 4'8".


In pole vault, A. Custard placed 1st with a vault of 9'10", Schoene of Bertrand and Ellaray Koch tied for 2nd with a vault of 8'10", and Koch of Southwest placed 5th with a vault of 8'10".
