For Maxwell-St. Pat's, they had a trio of games on the diamond this week. They began the week with a pair of games on Monday, Fairbury and Central City/Fullerton/Centura (CCFC), which was a triangular hosted by CCFC.
Maxwell-St. Pat's had a nice win versus Fairbury 10-0. Easton Jones was effective at the plate as he went 2-4 with three RBI's. Jones also got the win on the mound going six innings, allowing just one hit, and accumulating nine strikeouts.
Maxwell-St. Pat's also played CCFC of course, and they fell by a final score of 12-0. They struggled early, as they fell behind 9-0 after two innings. From there, they couldn't recover. Coy Baker was 1-2 from the plate with a double, as was Ty Robinson.
Maxwell-St. Pat's battled Crete on Saturday and lost, 13-4. Maxwell-St. Pat's found themselves down 3-0 after the top half of the first inning, but they answered with two of their own runs to trail 3-2. Following that though, Crete took control and didn't look back. Andrew Brosius had two RBI's as he went 2-4 from the dish.
Maxwell-St. Pat's is 4-2 on the year and will play Adams Central and St. Paul/Palmer this week.
