This past week, the Maxwell-St. Pat's Baseball Team played one game. It was a successful game, as they were able to snag their first win of the season at home.
Maxwell-St. Pat's played against Sedgwick County on Tuesday, April 1st and won big, 13-4. Sedgwick County came out strong, leading 3-0 after one inning. They expanded upon their lead, by scoring one more run in the top-half of the second, and it was 4-0 going to the bottom half.
Maxwell-St. Pat's got after it in that inning, scoring five runs to go up 5-4. Then, the scoring relaxed for an inning, but in the bottom half of the fourth and the sixth, Maxwell-St. Pat's scored four runs in each of those innings.
For Maxwell St. Pat's they had 11 hits and 10 RBI's.

On the mound, Breckyn Collins got the win, 4.20 ERA, five innings, allowed four hit, three earned runs, three walks and eight strikeouts. Griffin Flock went two innings, allowing one it, one walk, and two strikeouts.
This week, they have two games, on Tuesday at Holdrege and then on Friday at home versus Aurora. Maxwell-St. Pat's is now 1-2.
