UNK INDOOR CLASS D
Wallace and Bertrand attended the UNK Indoor meet last Thursday.
In the 55-meter dash, Carson Glunz from Wallace placed 1st with a time of 6.79, Thunder Nelson from Bertrand placed 4th with a time of 7.07, and Coleman Langford placed 7th with a time of 7.27. In the 200-meter dash, Glunz from Wallace finished 3rd with a time of 25.03 while Langford of Bertrand placed 5th with a time of 26.05. Kyler Flamming of Wallace finished 11th with a time of 26.68, Jorge Valdez of Wallace finished 13th in 27.0, and Dawson Newcomb of Bertrand finished 18th with a time of 28.19 in the 200-meter dash as well.
In the 400-meter dash, Bertrand's Eric Wood placed 2nd with a time of 56.44 while teammates Kayden Hatfield placed 6th with a time of 1:02.67 and Cooper Langford placed 13th with a time of 1:06.44. For Wallace, Ivan Aceves placed 14th with a time of 1:07.14 and Conner Kennicutt placed 15th with a time of 1:10.74.
In the mile run, Trey Robertson of Wallace placed 1st with a time of 4:51.66, Marcus Hernandez of Bertrand came in 2nd with a time of 5:20.56. Also from Bertrand was Colton Wagner who placed 9th in 6:17.85 and Creston Wagner in 10th with a time of 6:28.56. In the 3200-meter run, it was again Robertson of Wallace who crossed the line 1st with a time of 10:23.82. Dylan Wendell of Bertrand finished 8th with a time of 14:08.58 and Ryun Sheets of Wallace placed 9th with a time of 14:46.88.
In the 55m hurdles, Flaming of Wallace placed 1st with a time of 9.11, Coleman Langford of Bertrand placed 2nd with a time of 9.47, Nelson of Bertrand placed 3rd with a time of 9.63, Chase Vosler of Bertrand placed 7th with a time of 10.27, and Adan Juarez of Wallace placed 8th with a time of 10.64.
In the 4x400 meter relay, Bertrand placed 1st with a time of 3:57.03 with Wood, Vosler, Hernandez, and Owen Kaps running. Wallace placed 6th with a time of 5:12.25. In the 4x800 meter relay, Bertrand placed 4th with a time of 10:45.72 and was ran by Newcomb, Colton Wagner, Creston Wagner, and Hatfield.
Nelson of Bertrand placed 1st in the high jump with a jump of 5'6" while Flaming of Wallace placed 2nd with a jump of 5'4". Vosler of Bertrand jumped 5'2" to finish 4th and Bertrand's Newcomb jumped 4'10" to finish 6th. In the pole vault, Bertrand was able to finish 1st, 2nd, and 6th with Hernandez placing 1st with a jump of 13'6", Kaps jumped 13', and Wood jumped 9'6".
Nelson of Bertrand picked up another victory in the long jump with a leap of 20' while Cooper Langford of Bertrand placed 6th with a jump of 16'4.5" and Aceves of Wallace finished 11th with a jump of 15'11". In triple jump Bertrand's Wood finished 1st with a jump of 38'5" and Kaps jumped 37'10.5" to finish 2nd. Kennicutt from Wallace also finished 11th with a jump of 27'1.5".
In shot put, Flaming of Wallce finished 5th with a toss of 38'3.5", Nolan Edgren of Bertrand finished 8th with a throw of 35'4.25", Marshall Steinbrink finished 9th with a throw of 33'7.5", and Ryder Cable of Wallce finished 14th with a toss of 29'8.75".
UNK INDOOR CLASS B/C
Maywood-Hayes Center elected to attend the Class B/C meet on Saturday rather than attend Class D on Thursday due to the weather.
In the 200-meter dash, Ryan Werkmeister placed 4th with a time of 26.42, Kody Schwenk placed 6th with a time of 26.71, and Sawyer Dibbern placed 7th with a time of 27.06.
Schwenk placed 5th in the 400 with a time of 57.98, Werkmeister placed 6th with a time of 59.96, and Joseph Small finished 18th with a time of 1:17.34.
In the 55-meter hurdles, Dibbern finished 5th with a time of 10.50 while Schwenk finished 6th with a time of 10.64.
In the triple jump, Dibbern placed 8th with a jump of 35'8.5" and Schwenk placed 9th with a jump of 35'3.5".
In shot, Troy Rutherford placed 21st with a throw of 30'1.75".
