RPAC Boys Basketball Results as of 2/16



As we approach the final week of the regular season for boys basketball, each game means a lot. It will be the final games of the regular season this week too. This means be on the lookout for information on subdistricts, as those will be coming out soon.


RPAC squads were busy with matchups, so let's see how they did.




Alma


Alma had two games this past week and they were able to snag wins in both of the matchups. First, they beat Phillipsburg on Tuesday 75-41. The Cardinals had three players in double figures as Tucker Biskup had 29 points, Isaiah Neal scored 19, and Zavier Mitchell had 13.


On Friday, the Cardinals beat Cambridge in a close game, 49-41. For Alma, it was another night with spread-out scoring as Mitchell had 16 points and eight rebounds, Biskup had 12 points, and Grady Faimon had 11.


Alma is now 20-2 and will play Arapahoe on Friday for the regular-season finale on the road.


Arapahoe


Arapahoe went 0-2 during the week against some solid opponents. On Tuesday, they played at Cambridge, with the final score being 52-42. That was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup and you can read the full game story here.


On Friday, they went to Bertrand and fell 70-43. That was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchu,p and you can read the full game story here.


The Warriors are 2-20 and will play at home versus Alma on Friday.




Bertrand


Bertrand had two games during the week and went 2-0.


First, they played Arapahoe at home on Friday and won 70-43. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchu,p and you can read the full game story here.


Then on Saturday they went to Kenesaw and won 60-42. Bertrand is now 18-5 and will play at home versus Cambridge on Friday.


Cambridge


Cambridge played in two games this past week, one versus Arapahoe and the other against Alma. First, on Tuesday, they hosted Arapahoe and won 52-42. That was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup and you can read the full game story here.


Cambridge then faced Alma on the road Friday and lost 49-41. Cambridge is now 10-10 and will play at Bertrand on Friday in the regular season final.


Dundy County Stratton


The Tigers hosted and played against Southern Valley on Friday and won big 80-49. DCS was scheduled to play against St. Pat's on Friday, but the game has been postponed due to the road conditions. No date has been given at this time.


The Tigers are 15-5 and will play Medicine Valley on Friday at home.


Hi-Line


The Bulls played one game during the week, and it was on Friday against South Loup. Hi-Line fell in the game by a final of 55-47. Hi-Line is now 8-13 this season and will play Elm Creek on Friday at home. That game will be played in Elwood.




Hitchcock County


Hitchcock County had one game this past week, and the Falcons were able to nab a win. Hitchcock County played against Wallace on Friday evening and won 51-26. Hitchcock County is now 15-5 and will play Chase County on Wednesday afternoon.


Maxwell


The Wildcats had one game this week as their Tuesday matchup with Sutherland was canceled. Maxwell faced Medicine Valley on Thursday and fell 60-46.


Maxwell is now 5-16 and will face Loomis on the road on Friday.





Maywood-Hayes Center


Maywood-Hayes Center had two games this past week, and they went 1-1. First, they played a solid Ogallala team on Thursday on the road. The Wolves fell 78-38.


MHC then faced Wauneta-Palisade on Friday on the road and won 58-30.


MHC is now 15-8 and will play Perkins County on Friday at home.






Medicine Valley


The Raiders had a nice week as they beat both of their opponents. First, they took down Maxwell by a final of 60-46. This was a road win on Thursday. Mason Roblee had a nice game with 16 points and eight rebounds. Lucas Einspahr had 14 points and five boards, Brody Senff had 13 points and nine rebounds and Tyce Pate had 10 points and eight assists.


Medicine Valley then faced Brady on Friday at home and dominated, winning 70-26.


Medicine Valley is 12-9 and will play Dundy County Stratton on Friday on the road to close out the regular season.


Paxton


Paxton played in two games this past week and split the matchups. First, they beat Sutherland on the road on Thursday. They won 70-28. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup; you can read the full story here.


On Saturday, they played Hershey and lost 61-44. Tanner Hebblethwaite had 11 points to lead the way, and Tristen Hebblethwaite had nine points.


Paxton is now 14-8 and will play St. Pat's at home on Friday.





Southern Valley


Southern Valley had a pair of games this past week and they dropped both games. On Tuesday, they went to Gibbon and lost 70-52. Southern Valley then played Dundy County Stratton on Friday on the road. The Eagles lost 80-49. Southern Valley is now 4-18 and will play at Axtell on Friday.


Southwest


The Roughriders had one game last week as they were scheduled to play Wallace but the snow caused a postponement for that one. So, they played just Axtell on Friday at home and won 64-60. Houston Billeter was solid with 27 points and 10 rebounds, Deric Kelley had 17 points and 17 rebounds, and Jacob Barber had 14 points and eight rebounds.


Southwest is now 8-12 and will play Wallace on Monday.





Sutherland


The Sailors had just one game this past week and it was against Paxton. Sutherland fell in the game 70-28. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup; you can read the full story here.  


Sutherland is now 2-16 and will play at Creek Valley on Monday and at South Platte on Friday.


Wallace


With their game against Southwest being rescheduled, Wallace had one game last week. They played against Hitchcock County on Friday at home and lost 51-26.


Wallace will play at Southwest on Monday and then at home against Creek Valley on Friday.


Wauneta-Palisade


Wauneta-Palisade played in one game this last week, and it was against Maywood-Hayes Center. The Broncos dropped the game to Maywood-Hayes Center 58-30.


The Broncos are 2-17 and will play at home versus Arthur County on Friday.
