RPAC Boys Basketball Results as of 2/18



RPAC teams either had just one game, or the week off before subdistrict play. So we are lighter on results this week and we go through the subdistrict matchups for the squads.


Alma

The Cardinals faced Arapahoe at home on Friday evening in their lone game of the week. The Cardinals lost to the Warriors, 46-41. Arapahoe played a solid game to take down Alma. Zavier Mitchell led Alma with 17 points. Alma is 17-5 and is the #3 seed in the C2-11 subdistrict.


They will play Tuesday against #2 seeded Perkins County at 7:00 P.M. CST. This is a Perkins County team that recently just beat Maywood-Hayes Center so they are a tough opponent.


Arapahoe

As you saw above, Arapahoe had a big win over Alma on Friday night, 46-41. Kade Fisher led the Warriors in scoring with 19 points. Trenton Roskop added 13 points five rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. Will Cacy had six points and 12 rebounds.


Arapahoe is 12-12 and will play on Monday as the #5 seed in the D1-9 subdistrict. They will face #4 seed Bertrand at 6:00 P.M. CST. The games will be in Loomis.



Bertrand

The Vikings played against Cambridge on Friday night and fell 62-48. The Vikings finish the regular season at 10-9 and they are the #4 seed in the D1-9 subdistrict.


They will play #5 seed Arapahoe at 6:00 P.M. CST on Monday in Loomis.


Cambridge

Cambridge had one game this week too, and they hosted Bertrand. They won 62-48. The Trojans had a big game from Carson Trompke with 25 points including six three-pointers made. He also tallied eight rebounds. Brohdey Wood had 13 points and 10 rebounds.


The Trojans are 14-9 and will play in the D1-10 subdistrict as the #2 seed. They will face #3 seeded Hitchcock County on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. MST from Dundy County Stratton.


Dundy County Stratton

The Tigers of DCS played against Medicine Valley on Friday and won big, 62-39. Lane Bybee led the way with 21 points and six rebounds. The reigning RPAC Rundown Athlete of the Week, Jackson Kerchal, had a big game too. 15 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.


DCS is 19-5 and is the #1 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict. The Tigers will play #4 seed Wauneta-Palisade at home on Tuesday at 5:30 P.M. MST.


Hitchcock County

Hitchcock County had a successful week as they played South Platte. They were able to beat their opponent, 64-45. The Falcons are now 11-11 with the win.


The Falcons will be the #3 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict and they will play #2 seeded Cambridge on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. MST at Dundy County Stratton.


Maywood-Hayes Center

Maywood-Hayes Center faced a tough opponent on Friday evening, Perkins County. The Wolves dropped the game 54-31. MHC struggled to get much going on offense, only scoring double-figures in one period. Jerry Ingison had eight points, as did Haydn Farr.


The Wolves are 19-3 and will be the #1 seed in the D2-8 subdistrict and will play #4 seeded Wallace, who is the #4 seed. That game will be played at Hayes Center with tip-off at 8:00 P.M. CST.





Maxwell

Maxwell faced a solid Loomis team for their regular season finale. The Wildcats fell 56-40. It was a tough second and third quarter that doomed Maxwell as they were outscored 34-18. Cole Huffman led Maxwell with 15 points in the game. Tyce Cumming had nine points and seven rebounds.


Maxwell is now 6-15 and is the #4 seed in the D1-12 subdistrict. They will play #5 seeded Sutherland on Monday at 6:00 P.M. CST from North Platte St. Pat's.


Medicine Valley

The Raiders of Medicine Valley ran into a buzzsaw on Friday playing Dundy County Stratton. The Raiders lost, 62-39. Austin Roblee had an excellent game with 17 points and eight rebounds. Mason Roblee scored 10.


Medicine Valley is 9-12 and will play #3 seeded Southwest in the D2-8 subdistrict tournament. The Raiders are the #2 seed. Games will be played at Hayes Center and tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 P.M. CST on Tuesday.


Paxton

The Tigers played North Platte St. Pat's and of course, the Irish are regarded as one of the top teams in Class D1. Paxton lost, 67-38. Kobe Florum led the way with 10 points for the Tigers.


Paxton is 13-9 on the season and will play as the #2 seed against #3 seeded Garden County on Tuesday in the D2-10 subdistrict. Those games will be hosted in Hyannis and Paxton and Garden County will tip-off at 7:00 P.M. MST.

Southern Valley

Southern Valley played Axtell on Friday and lost 68-45. The Eagles drop to 10-13 on the season now. Kamden Bose led Southern Valley with 16 points.


Now they prepare for the D1-9 subdistrict as they play as the #2 seed. They will face #3 seeded Overton in Loomis on Tuesday at 7:45 P.M. CST.


Southwest

The Roughriders had the week off and prepared for postseason play. Southwest is the #3 seed in the D2-8 subdistrict. They will play #2 seeded Medicine Valley on Tuesday at 6:30 P.M. CST in Hayes Center.

Wallace

Wallace ended their regular season on a high note as they beat Creek Valley 46-38. They had a spread-out scoring attack as Matt Lungrin had 19 points and 10 assists, Max Hanson had 10, and Masen Messersmith had 10.


Wallace is 7-15 and will be the #4 seed in the D2-8 subdistrict tournament. They will play #1 seed MHC on Tuesday at 5:00 P.M. CST from Hayes Center.




Wauneta-Palisade

The Broncos played a close game in their regular season finale. Unfortunately for the Broncos, they lost 38-35. The Broncos are 1-18 on the year now.


They are the #4 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict. They will play #1 seeded DCS on Tuesday in Benklman at 5:30 P.M. MST.
