
Here we are, just a few more games before the regular season ends for RPAC Boys Basketball Teams. It's exciting and sad at the same time as many squads have a solid chance to extend their seasons in the postseason. But this season has been long, but also fast at the same time. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out.

Alma
The Cardinals had a light week, playing in one game, but it was a big one. They played their rival Southern Valley on Friday, and the Cardinals won 50-37. Alma moves to 18-2 this season and will play at home on Tuesday and Friday, with those opponents being Phillipsburg and Cambridge.
Arapahoe
The Warriors played a pair of games this week and went 1-1. First, they took on Brady on Friday and won 56-43. The Warriors jumped out. toa 20-5 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Will Cacy had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. He also hit four three-pointers. Alex Diaz scored 14 points, and Chris Hermes had 11.
Arapahoe then faced Hitchcock County on Saturday at home and fell to a solid Hitchcock County Team, 61-46. Arapahoe is now 2-18 on the season and will play at Cambridge on Tuesday and at Bertrand on Friday. Both of those games are RPAC Rundown Featured Matchups.
Bertrand
Top-10 rated in D1, Bertrand had one game this week, and it was a battle against Medicine Valley. Bertrand won by a final of 80-65, but it took an extra period. The Vikings found themselves down 43-23 after the first half. So, they climbed back in the second half by outscoring the Raiders 40-20. The game went to OT, with it tied at 63-63. Bertrand outscored the Raiders 17-2 in the extra time to take the win.
Thunder Nelson had 29 points and 10 rebounds. Marcus Hernandez had 28 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Kayden Hatfield had 12 points. Bertrand will play at home on Friday against Arapahoe, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and then at Kenesaw on Saturday.
Cambridge
The Trojans had two games this past week and went 1-1. First, they won a nail-biter against Hi-Line, 48-47. Cambridge was down 41-38 heading to the fourth. But the Trojans used a 10-6 final period to take the lead and win.
On Saturday, Cambridge faced St. Pat's and fell 86-53. Cambridge is 9-9 and will play at home on Tuesday against Arapahoe, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup. Then, they will go to Alma on Friday.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers of DCS had two games this past week and they split the games. First, they played Southwest on Tuesday and won 80-56. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, so you can read the full story here.
Then, they had a game against one of the top teams in C1, Cozad, on Saturday. DCS competed hard in the game but fell 69-48.
DCS is now 14-5 and will face St. Pat's on the road on Tuesday and then host Southern Valley on Friday at home.
Hi-Line
The Bulls had a pair of matchups during the past week and went .500. First, they beat Medicine Valley 58-56. This game went to OT, as Brody Diefenbaugh hit a triple to send it to the extra period. Diefenbaugh led the scoring with 14, Zach Whittaker had 13, and Kane Cochrane had 12.
Hi-Line had another close game on Thursday as they played Cambridge. They fell to Cambridge, 48-47. Niemeier had 14, Whittaker scored 13, and Diefenbaugh had 12.
Hi-Line is 8-12 and will play South Loup at home on Friday in Eustis.
Hitchcock County
The Falcons played three times this past week and went 2-1. They first played Cody Kilgore at home on Monday and won 56-32.
After that, they played Maywood-Hayes Center at home and fell 58-52. The Falcons led 41-39 heading to the fourth. But a 19-11 fourth period allowed the Falcons to win.
Hitchcock County bounced back though on Saturday and beat Arapahoe 61-46.
The Falcons are 14-5 and will play at home versus Hitchcock County on Tuesday and then go to Wallace on Friday.
Maxwell
The Wildcats had two games during the week and fell in both games. First, they fell to Perkins County 84-34. Cole Huffman had 12 points, and Owen Pagel had six.
Then, the Wildcats played Wallace, which was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup. Maxwell lost, 58-38. You can read the full game story here.
Maxwell is now 5-15 and will take on Sutherland at home on Tuesday and host Medicine Valley on Thursday, too.
Maywood-Hayes Center
The Wolves had a busy week, and they were quite successful, too, going 3-0. First, they beat Mullen on Monday 59-49. Kade Broz was on fire, scoring 26 points, 7-9 from the field, 4-5 from three, and 8-10 from the free throw line. Jaxson Anders had 15 points in the effort, too.
Then, MHC beat Hershey 78-54. The Wolves took care of business in a big way and played well. MHC played Hitchcock County on Friday and won, 58-52. Earlier this season the Wolves fell to the Falcons 40-32 so this was a big win for them.
MHC is now 14-7, making a nice push late in the season as they have won five in a row and will play Ogallala on the road on Thursday and then go to Wauneta-Palisade on Friday.
Medicine Valley
Medicine Valley had three games and went 1-2. First, they fell to Hi-Line, 58-56 in overtime. Tyce Pate had 16 points, Lucas Einspahr had 14, and Bridy Senff had 11 points and nine rebounds.

Their final game of the week was an 80-65 OT loss to Bertrand. Medicine Valley led 43-23 at halftime, but could not close things out. Pate had 19 points, Einspahr had 22, and Senff had 10.
The Raiders are 10-9 and will play at Maxwell on Thursday and then host Brady on Friday.
Paxton
Paxton played in a pair of games this week and went 2-0. First, they beat Sandhills Valley in a close one, 34-31. Paxton was down 24-21 heading to the final quarter, but they outscored the Mavericks 14-10 in the final quarter to get the win. Wyatt Walker and Tanner Hebblethwaite had nine points each. Jasper Brewster had nine rebounds.
Paxton then played South Platte and won by a large margin, 67-40. Hebblethwaite had 20 points, Maddex McConnell and Brewster each had 13 points. Paxton is 13-6 and will host Hershey on Tuesday and then go to Sutherland on Thursday which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Southern Valley
Southern Valley played Alma and South Loup this week and fell in both matchups. In their game against Alma, the final score was 50-37. They did a nice job of hanging around throughout the game.
Southern Valley then faced South Loup and fell 65-43. Southern Valley is 4-16 and will be at Gibbon on Tuesday and at Dundy County Stratton on Friday.
Southwest
Southwest played two excellent opponents this past week and dropped both games. First, they fell to Dundy County Stratton 80-56. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, so you can read the full story here.
Then, they played Perkins County and fell 75-37. Houston Billeter led the scoring for Southwest with 26 points and five rebounds.
Southwest is now 7-12 and will host Wallace on Tuesday and host Axtell on Friday.
Sutherland
Sutherland had two games during the past week and went 0-2. First, they fell to Garden County 64-38. A zero-point first quarter for Sutherland is what doomed them. Jackson Saner had 13 points and five rebounds. Keigan Kershner had seven points.
Then, they fell to Wauneta-Palisade 63-40. The Sailors are 2-15 and will be at Maxwell on Tuesday and then home versus Paxton on Thursday, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Wallace
Wallace played a pair of opponents during the last week and they captured two wins. First, they beat Brady 52-38.

Wauneta-Palisade
