RPAC Schools were split between the D-5 District held at Cross Creek Golf Links in Cambridge and the D-6 District held at Courthouse and Jail Rock Golf Course in Bridgeport. Results from the District meets are below.
D-5 District Results:
Alma: Griffin Stemper placed 11th for the Cardinals with a time of 18:25.26 and teammate Blayden Herrick placed 15th with a time of 18:50.11. Jaxon Tischner just missed placing as he finished 17th with a time of 19:08.15. Alma finished as the D-5 District Runners-Up and qualified their team for state. Stemper, Herrick, and Tischner will run at state along with Nolan Pfeil and Ian Dunse. Harper Fennel was able to qualify for state as an individual as she placed 13th with a time of 23:51.45.
Arapahoe: Campbell Schutz finished 18th for the Warriors with a time of 19:12.98. The team placed 11th with 100 points. River Einspahr finished 23rd with a time of 25:28.49. The team finished 12th with 115 points.
Bertrand-Loomis: Marcus Hernandez finished as District Runner-Up with a time of 18:03.6, just 3 seconds behind the Champion, Logan Recoy of South Loup. Wes Trompke placed 14th with a time of 18:47.77. As a team, the Wolfkings placed 3rd with 46 points and punching their ticket to the state meet. Hernandez and Trompke will run at the state meet along with Chonsey Bieker, Carter Horner, and Colton Wagner. For the girls, Addison Hansen finished 33rd with a time of 26:26.67. The team finished 11th with 104 points.
Cambridge: Gavin Gunderson finished 23rd with a time of 19:52.80. The team placed 9th with 84 points. For the girls, Brenna Deterding was the District Runner-Up with a time of 22:22.72 while Rachel Harris placed 3rd (22:29.93) and Kori Koeppen placed 8th (23:22.51). The team eared the District Champion title with 12 points. Deterding, Harris and Koeppen will run at state along with JoLie Farr and Jensyn Weiss.
Maxwell: Elio Nila led the way for the Wildcats as he finished 38th with a time of 20:48.45. The team placed 13th with 120 points. For the girls, Keiliah Curtis placed 12th with a time of 23:47.68 to earn a trip to state. The team placed 8th with 86 points.
Maywood-Hayes Center: Victoriah Deaver finished 34th with a time of 26:36.41.
Medicine Valley: Kael Garrett placed 5th with a time of 18:18.31 and punched his ticket to state. The team placed 6th with 66 points.
Southern Valley: Isaac Hamilton finished 20th with a time of 19:16.93. The team finished 15th with 144 points. For the girls, Tayley Becker finished 21st with at time of 25:17.05. The team finished 10th with 94 points.
Southwest: Cole Barnett qualified for the state meet as an individual as he placed 12th with a time of 18:42.32.
D-6 District Results:
Dundy County Statton: Lizabeth Cardoza finished 37th with a time of 26:38.85.
Hitchcock County: Kade Thiessen finished 34th (21:19.41) and Landon Tines finished 36th (21:29.71). The team finished 12th with 100 points. For the girls, Chayse Keith finished 22nd with a time of 24:42.79. The team finished 8th with 86 points.
Paxton: Rylin Johns placed 11th with a time of 18:52.56 to qualify for the state meet as an individual. The team placed 8th with 83 points. For the girls, Ainsley McConnell placed 14th with a time of 23:04.34 to qualify as an individual for the state meet. The team finished 8th with 66 points.
Wallace: Trey Robertson was named the District Champion as he finished with a time of 17:05.10 and earned a trip to the state meet. For the girls, Ashley Robertson placed 10th (21:51.68), Dajana Garrison placed 11th (22:13.62), and Ryleigh Hanson placed 15th (23:07.05) qualifying for state. The team placed 3rd with 27 points.
State Cross County will be held on Friday, October 21st at the Kearney County Club. Class D Boys will run at 12:00 P.M. and Class D Girls will run at 1:00 P.M. with awards to take place at 2:00 P.M. For more information regarding the state meet, you can find information here.
