This past week was the RPAC cross country meet and Alma was the host. It was a great day for the meet as it wasn't too hot but it wasn't too cold either. Both races came down to the final stretch and there were great performances by all athletes.

Alma: Griffin Stemper led the Cardinals with a 3rd-place finish and a time of 18:55.43, Nolan Pfeil placed 6th with a time of 19:16.34, and Logan Shriver placed 15th to snag the last medal and ran a time of 20:19.75.
Arapahoe: Campbell Schutz placed 14th with a time of 20:19.74 to pace the Warriors. Corbin Carpenter finished 21st with a time of 21:25.62 and Wayne Lee was on his heels as he ran 21:25.63 to finish 22nd.
Bertrand-Loomis: Marcus Hernandez was named the RPAC Champion and ran a time of 17:46.96. Luke Larson placed 8th with a time of 19:45.24 and Carter Horner placed 13th with a time of 20:14.52. Quentin Mumm just missed the medals as he finished 16th with a time of 20:20.55.
Cambridge: Wyatt Jackson led the Trojans with a 9th-place finish and a time of 19:52.08, Brady Ahlemeyer claimed the 10th-place medal with a time of 20:00.84, and Gavin Gunderson rounded out the medalists for Cambridge as he placed 12th with a time of 20:13.34.
Dundy County Stratton: Noah Wiese finished 46th with a time of 33:17.34.
Hitchcock County: Tanner McLain placed 11th with a time of 20:10.58 to lead Hitchcock County, Connor Latta finished 33rd with a time of 22:43.99, and Trevor Carlson finished 40th with a time of 24:31.65.
Maxwell: Max Robinson finished 17th with a time of 20:46.34.
Maywood-Hayes Center: Rubiel Lopez finished 24th with a time of 21:34.58, Ryan Werkmeister finished 37th with a time of 24:10.81, and Steven Werkmeister finished 39th with a time of 24:28.87.
Medicine Valley: Kael Garrett finished as the RPAC Runner-up with a time of 17:48.27 while Kevin Bantam finished 31st with a time of 22:26.99.
Paxton: Landon Drews placed 5th with a time of 19:15.46 to pace the Tigers while Kepler Spurgin finished 20th with a time of 21:23.78, and Jasper Brewster finished 26th with a time of 21:50.14.
Southern Valley: Isaac Hamilton placed 7th with a time of 19:44.24, Trenton Shockman finished 35th with a time of 23:15.68, and Jeramyah Ruskamp finished 36th with a time of 24:06.65.
Southwest: Austin Thompson finished 18th with a time of 20:57.81, Caleb Heskett finished 28th with a time of 22:14.05, and Shie King finished 35th with a time of 29:48.84.
Wallace: Max Hanson placed 4th with a time of 18:59.62 and Micah Garrison finished 44th with a time of 29:16.81.

Hitchcock County: Chayse Keith placed 9th with a time of 23:37.08, Calista Carney finished 21st with a time of 26:24.55, and Sonya Schermerhorn finished 29th with a time of 32:10.87.
Maxwell: Keilah Curtis finished 23rd with a time of 29:02.87, Emme Lucas finished 25th with a time of 29:22.99, and Billie DeGarmo finished 27th with a time of 32:01.27.
Maywood-Hayes Center: Victoriah Deaver finished 19th with a time of 25:56.02.
Paxton: Ainsley McConnell placed 7th with a time of 23:12.14, Natalie Jorgensen placed 8th with a time of 25:15.40, and Mackenzie Sanchez finished 16th with a time of 25:49.46.
Southern Valley: Tayley Becker was named the RPAC Champion with a time of 21:48.87 while Jazemine Lujan finished 30th with a time of 34:37.05.
Southwest: Morgan Reeder finished 24th with a time of 29:08.30.
Wallace: The Wildcats earned a perfect score of 6 and were led by Ashley Robertson as she was named the RPAC Runner-up with a time of 21:55.68. Dajana Garrison placed 3rd with a time of 22:17.34, Ryleigh Hanson placed 4th with a time of 22:26.14, Elliana Robertson placed 6th with a time of 23:09.52.
