RPAC Cross Country Results as of 9/17


It was another busy week for cross country as several teams competed in two meets and squads are starting to gear up towards the RPAC meet on October 5th.


Alma Invite: 9/11

Boys Team Scores:

  1. Franklin: 10

  2. Axtell: 11

Keyton Cole of Axtell placed 1st with a time of 17:48.08.

  • Alma: Griffin Stemper had a great home meet as he set a new Alma cross country mileage record holder. Stemper has run 1,235 miles in his high school career, and that number will only get higher as the season progresses. Stemper placed 8th with a time of 19:35.05, Nolan Pfeil placed 10th with a time of 19:42.84, and Ian Dunse placed 13th with a time of 20:11.43.

  • Arapahoe: Campbell Schutz placed 12th with a time of 20:09.96 to pace the Warriors. Corbin Carpenter finished 19th with a time of 22:05.84 and Wyne Lee was on his heels with a 20th-place finish and a time of 22:10.43.

  • Medicine Valley: Kevin Bantam led the way for the Raiders as he finished 21st with a time of 22:14.68.

  • Southern Valley: Isaac Hamilton just missed the medal stand as he finished 16th with a time of 20:45.58. Chase Hamilton finished 29th with a time of 25:00.37 and Jeramyah Ruskamp finished right behind with a 30th-place finish and a time of 25:13.90.

  • Southwest: Austin Thompson placed 14th with a time of 20:13.78 and Shie King finished 38th with a time of 32:28.40.

Girls Team Scores:

  1. Elm Creek: 10

Teagan McDaniel of Elm Creek placed 1st with a time of 22:37.87.

  • Alma: Harper Fennel placed 10th with a time of 25:35.78 and Kaylan Ogier placed 14th with a time of 26:35.84.

  • Arapahoe: River Einspahr placed 11th with a time of 25:47.62.

  • Southern Valley: Tayley Becker led the way for the Eagles with a 5th place finish and a time of 23:12.90. Laurel Stalder placed 15th with a time of 26:53.46, and Jazemine Lujan finished 25th with a time of 32:44.49.

  • Southwest: Avery McConville finished 17th with a time of 27:45.30 and Morgan Reeder finished 20th with a time of 29:45.30.

  • Alma: Griffin Stemper paced the Cardinals with a 4th-place finish and a time of 18:49 and Nolan Pfeil placed 14th with a time of 20:11. Ian Dunse finished 18th with a time of 20:40.

  • Arapahoe: Campbell Schutz placed 11th with a time of 19:50, Corbin Carpenter finished 29th with a time of 22:11, and Wayne Lee finished 32nd with a time of 22:22.

  • Cambridge: The Trojans had a strong team performance this week with Wyatt Jackson pacing them with a 7th-place finish and a time of 19:36. Brady Ahlemeyer placed 10th with a time of 19:49 and Gavin Gunderson placed 12th with a time of 20:05.

  • Maxwell: Max Robinson finished 19th with a time of 20:45 and was the lone runner for the Wildcats.

  • Maywood-Hayes Center: Rubiel Lopez finished 27th with a time of 21:40, Steven Werkmeister finished 45th with a time of 24:19, and Ryan Werkmeister finished 48th with a time of 24:32.

  • Medicine Valley: Kael Garrett was the meet champion with a time of 18:12.

  • Paxton: Landon Drews paced the Tigers with a 9th-place finish and a time of 19:43. Jasper Brewster also placed 13th with a time of 20:08 and Kepler Spurgin finished 31st with a time of 22:18.

  • Southern Valley: Isaac Hamilton finished 21st with a time of 20:52, Chase Hamilton finished 43rd with a time of 23:55, and Jeramyah Ruskamp ran 25:07 to finish 53rd.

  • Southwest: Austin Thompson was just outside of the medals with a 17th-place finish and a time of 20:37. Caleb Heskett finished 37th with a time of 22:54 and Shie King finished 60th with a time of 29:39.

  • Wallace: Max Hanson ran 19:28 to place 6th, Kyle Melton finished 44th with a time of 24:08, and Micah Garrison finished 57th with a time of 26:55.

  • Alma: Kayla Ogier was the lone runner for the Cardinals and was able to place 13th with a time of 25:18.

  • Arapahoe: River Einspahr ran well at her home meet as she finished 18th with a time of 25:36.

  • Cambridge: Brenna Deterding paced the Trojans with a 9th-place finish and a time of 23:29. Rachel Harris placed 14th with a time of 25:19 and JoLie Farr finished 17th with a time of 25:33.

  • Maxwell: Keilah Curtis snagged the 15th-place finish and a time of 25:26 and Emme Lucas finished 29th with a time of 28:22.

  • Maywood-Hayes Center: Victoriah Deaver finished 20th with a time of 26:04.

  • Paxton: Natalie Jorgensen placed 6th with a time of 23:09, Ainsley McConnell placed 10th with a time of 23:30, and Mackenzie Sanchez finished 21st with a time of 26:26.

  • Southern Valley: Tayley Becker placed 5th with a time of 23:00, Laurel Stalder finished 24th with a time of 27:12, and Jazemine Lujan ran 31:50 to finish 34th.

  • Southwest: Morgan Reeder was the only runner for the Roughriders and finished 32nd with a time of 30:00.

  • Wallace: Ashley Robertson placed 1st with a time of 21:55, Dajana Garrison placed 2nd with a time of 21:58, Ryleigh Hanson placed 4th with a time of 22:48, and Elliana Robertson placed 7th with a time of 23:18.

  • Bertrand-Loomis: Marcus Hernandez placed 5th with a time of 18:49.3 to lead the Wolfkings. Luke Larson finished 34th with a time of 21:22.1 and Carter Horner ran 21:24.5 to finish 35th.

Lindee Henning of Ogallala placed 1st with a time of 19:57.16.

  • Hitchcock County: Chayse Keith finished 17th with a time of 25:20.25 and Sonya Schermerhorn finished 40th with a time of 33:12.82.

Teams will be competing at Franklin, Maywood-Hayes Center, Ogallala, and Southern Valley this week.
