
And just like that, the regular season has wrapped up, and we are entering subdistrict play. Weather caused some chaos early last week, forcing some cancellations. Check out all that and all the subdistrict information in the blog!
Alma
Alma hosted Phillipsburg, KS, on Tuesday before the snow moved in. The Cardinals couldn't find the bottom of the basket at the start of the game but found their groove in the middle two quarters before they went cold again in the fourth. Alma lost to Phillipsburg, 50-30. Kamryn Scott had 11 points and three steals, and Tierston Moore had 10 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.
The Cardinals hosted Cambridge on Friday and defeated the Trojans 53-33.
Alma finished the regular season with a record of 18-5. The Cardinals earned the #2 seed in the D1-9 subdistrict, which Elm Creek will host. On Tuesday, Alma will play #3 Kenesaw at 7:15 p.m. CT.
Arapahoe
Arapahoe traveled to Cambridge on Tuesday before the snow moved into the area. The Warriors lost to the Trojans 47-42. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup; you can read more about this game by clicking here.

The Warriors finish the regular season with a record of 15-9. Arapahoe is the #2 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict, which Southwest will host. The Warriors will battle with #3 Cambridge for the third time this season (Arapahoe defeated Cambridge during the RPAC tournament, and Cambridge recently defeated the Warriors) on Tuesday at 7:30 P.M. CT.
Bertrand

On Saturday, the Vikings traveled to Kenesaw and lost to the Blue Devils 45-29.
The Vikings finish with a record of 9-14. They are the #4 seed in the D2-6 subdistrict hosted by Wilcox-Hildreth. Bertrand will face #5 Loomis on Monday at 6:30 P.M. CT.
Cambridge
Cambridge hosted Arapahoe on Tuesday and avenged a loss from the RPAC Tournament as they defeated the Warriors 47-42. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup; you can read more about this game by clicking here.
On Friday, the Trojans hit the road to take on Alma and lost to the Cardinals 53-33.
Cambridge is now 12-10 and has finished the regular season. The Trojans are the #3 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict hosted by Southwest. On Tuesday, at 7:30 p.m. CT, Cambridge will face #2-seeded Arapahoe for the third time this season.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers had one game last week, and that was hosting Southern Valley on Friday. The Tigers went toe-to-toe with the Eagles and led 16-14 after the first quarter. It was a back-and-forth second quarter, but Southern Valley evened it up at 28 as they went into the half. Coming out of the half, it was still a back-and-forth game as Southern Valley led by one heading into the fourth quarter, 42-41. In the fourth, the Eagles were able to seal the win, outscoring the Tigers 17-14 in the quarter, leading to the 59-55 win. Kimberly Escobar led the team with 21 points; she added six rebounds and six steals; and Abi Spargo had 17 points, 13 rebounds, and three steals.
Dundy County Stratton is now 14-6 to finish the regular season. The Tigers are the #1 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and have earned hosting rights. DCS will play #4 Medicine Valley on Tuesday at 5:00 P.M. MT.
Hi-Line
The Bulls hosted South Loup on Friday and locked up a win before heading into postseason play by defeating the Bobcats 46-27. Olivia Wall had 13 points and nine rebounds; Bentley Stubbs had 13 points, seven rebounds, and six steals; and Ellaray Koch added nine points and five steals. Shelby Jurgens also had five steals.
Hi-Line wraps up the regular season with a 4-16 record. The Bulls are the #5 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict and will face #4 Wauneta-Palisade on Monday at 6:30 PM CT at Southwest.
Hitchcock County
On Tuesday, weather moved in, forcing the Falcons to cancel their game with Chase County.
On Friday, Hitchcock County traveled to take on Wallace, and the Falcons defeated the Wildcats 74-42.
Hitchcock County finished up 8-12 for the regular season. The Falcons are the #2 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and will face #3 Wallace on Tuesday at 6:30 P.M. MT at Dundy County Stratton.
Maxwell
Maxwell was scheduled to host Sutherland on Tuesday, but the game was canceled due to the winter weather that moved into the area.
On Thursday, the Wildcats hosted Medicine Valley and defeated the Raiders 49-31. Emory Christensen had 13 points, five rebounds, and nine steals; Jenna Miller had 12 points, three rebounds, four steals, and two blocks; Kristyn Cheek had 11 points, four rebounds, and five steals; and Maddy Flock had six points and five assists.
Maxwell finished 12-10 in the regular season and earned the #4 seed in the C2-7 subdistrict. Maxwell will face #5 Wood River on Monday at 5:00 P.M. CT at Cross County.
Maywood-Hayes Center
Maywood-Hayes Center traveled to Ogallala on Thursday for a battle with the Indians. It was a close game in the first half as the Wolves trailed 14-12 after the first quarter and 28-25 at the half. The scoreless third quarter hurt MHC, as they trailed 46-25 heading into the fourth. The Wolves outscored the Indians 17-8 in the fourth, but it was too much to overcome as Ogallala defeated MHC 54-42. Caylie Softley had 16 points and four rebounds, Karissa Stengel had nine points and seven assists, Blayklee Farr had eight points, and Kesli Cox added seven points and four steals.
On Friday, MHC traveled to take on Wauneta-Palisade and defeated the Broncos 63-22. Softley had 16 points, eight rebounds, and three steals; Farr had 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals; Stengel had 11 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals; and Cox had 10 points and four rebounds.
The Wolves wrapped up their regular season with a record of 21-4, earning the top seed in the C2-8 subdistrict and hosting rights. The #1 Wolves will take on the winner of #4 Centura and #5 Shelby-Rising City on Tuesday at 5:00 P.M. CT. These games will be played in Maywood.
Medicine Valley
Medicine Valley traveled to take on Maxwell on Thursday and fell to the Wildcats 49-31. Remmi Stout led the Raiders with 12 points and nine rebounds; Kamree Elsten had eight points and three steals; and Oakley Stout added six points, 12 rebounds, and three assists.
On Friday, the Raiders hosted Brady and lost to the Eagles 41-31. The Raiders grabbed 51 rebounds as a team. R. Stout had 11 points, 15 rebounds, three steals, and seven blocks; O. Stout had eight points, 10 rebounds, and five assists; and Haylie Gustafson added seven points, 10 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.
Medicine Valley finished their regular season with a record of 2-19. The Raiders are the #4 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and will take on #1 Dundy County Stratton on Tuesday at 5:00 P.M. MT at DCS.
Paxton
Paxton was scheduled to take on Hershey on Tuesday, but the winter weather forced that game to be canceled.

Southern Valley
It was a travel-heavy week for the Eagles, and the winter weather stayed away long enough for them to get both games in this week.
On Tuesday, Southern Valley traveled to Gibbon and defeated the Buffaloes 58-29. Adi Hunt led the Eagles with 16 points and five steals; Vanesa Aguayo had 10 points, and Emercen Lovitt added 10 points.
On Friday, the Eagles traveled to Dundy County Stratton, and boy, was it a good game. The Tigers led 16-14 after the first quarter. Southwest hosted Axtell on Friday and picked up a big 71-22 win.
The Roughriders finished up their regular season with a 20-1 record. Southwest is the #1 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict and has earned hosting rights. They will take on the winner of #4 Wauneta-Palisade and #5 Hi-Line on Tuesday at 6:00 P.M. CT at home.
Sutherland
Sutherland was supposed to travel to Maxwell on Tuesday, but the weather canceled that game.
