In our third RPAC Rundown Preseason Spotlight Series episode, we featured the Wauneta-Palisade girls basketball team. Wauneta-Palisade made it to the 3rd and 4th place game in the RPAC tournament last season and finished with a record of 13-10.
The Broncos are a young team but return two seniors in GraCee Goings and Peyton Cox. Cox finished her junior season with 999 career points, averaging 15.9 points per game, and 981 career rebounds, averaging 15.8 rebounds, while Goings averaged 12.4 points per game.
The other element we feature is the family dynamic with Head Coach Matt Cox, Assistant Coach Colby Cox, and his daughter Peyton Cox. Matt has had the opportunity to coach all of his daughters thus far and he has another daughter in eighth grade that he is looking forward to coaching as well.
Wauneta-Palisade will be a fun group to watch this season and as they have some big goals. We hope that you enjoy this episode.
