
The Southern Valley/Alma Saints traveled to West Point on Monday. Of course, that is quite the trip, about four hours from Southern Valley schools and Alma. GACC was the #1 seed, Southern Valley/Alma was the #2 seed, Malcolm was the #3 seed and Wilber-Clatonia was the #4 seed.
The Saints played in the second game of the day against Malcolm. Unfortunatley for the Saints, they dropped the game 16-1. This game ended after three innings due to the run rule. Wha doomed the Saints were errors. They had seven total.
Malcolm started quick, scoring five runs in the top half of the first. The Saints couldn't get things rolling in the first. Malcolm scored another eight runs and led 13-0 going to the bottom of the second inning. The Saints scored in the bottom of the second as Mikah Schultz singled and Brynn Baily scored.
In the top of the third, Malcolm scored three more times. Southern Valley/Alma could not muster up any other offense in the game. Southern Valley/Alma had three hits as a team. Kaitlyn Bradley was 1-2, Brynn Baily was 1-1, and Mikah Schultz was 1-1 with an RBI.
Southern Valley/Alma finishes 15-11 this season. Congrats to the Saints on a great season.
