Under the new regime of Paige Houser, the Southern Valley/Alma Saints got off to a nice start in their first four games of the season. They began with a triangular in Chadron and went 1-1. The triangular was on Thursday night, and as you can see, this team will travel far to get their games in.

They started with a loss to begin the year against Bayard, falling 8-6. After that, they played Chadron. In their next game was a thriller as they were down heading to the top of the seventh inning. They scored five runs to take the lead and win 9-8.
After that triangular, the Saints went to Lexington on Saturday. Southern Valley/Alma had to be pleased with their performance as they finished third. The Eagles fell to Bennington, 6-3, and then reeled off a pair of wins.
According to the Southern Valley Schools Facebook page, they beat Chadron and Gothenburg. They took down Chadron 8-6. The Saints beat Gothenburg 8-7.
The Saints will be at the McCook Triangular Monday and Chase County will be there too. Also, they will be at Gothenburg for a Triangular on Friday with Alliance too.
Then on Saturday, it is the Holdrege Invite.
They are 3-2 this season.
