Alma
Alma had a pair of triangulars this past week and were on a roll. On Tuesday the Cardinals traveled to Wilcox-Hildreth to take on the Falcons and Franklin.
In the match against Wilcox-Hildreth, it took three sets to determine the winner. The Cardinals dropped set one, 25-23, won a long set two 27-25, and then took control and won set three 25-17 to win the match, 2-1. Chayse Molzahn led the team with 11 kills, Tierston Moore posted eight kills, and Vayden Epp tallied six kills. Moore also added four aces and 15 digs while Epp added 10 digs. Miley Whitney had 23 assists in the match as well.
Against Franklin, Alma made quick work of the Flyers as they got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-9 and 25-11. Molzahn posted eight kills and Epp added six. Whitney and Moore each had four aces while the team totaled nine aces in the match. Whitney also tallied nine digs and 17 assists.
On Thursday, Alma traveled to Cambridge for a triangular with the Trojans and Bertrand.
In their match against Cambridge, Alma got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-19 and 25-18. Epp had seven kills, three aces, and 11 digs. Moore had six kills and Whitney had four aces and 17 assists.
Against the Vikings, the Cardinals got another 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-13 and 25-16. Molzhan had nine kills, Moore had seven kills, and five digs, and Whitney had six digs and 20 assists. Kamryn Scott added nine digs in the match.
Alma improves to 6-1 on the season and will host a triangular with Wilcox-Hildreth and Northern Valley, KS on Tuesday, travel to Elm Creek on Thursday, and travel to Hitchcock County on Saturday for a tournament.
Arapahoe
The Warriors had a triangular at Dundy County Stratton on Thursday with the Tigers and Hitchcock County.
In their match with the Tigers, Arapahoe got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-22 and 25-15. Desi Farner led the team with eight kills while Emma Strand and Clara Hilker each posted five kills. The Warriors had 10 aces as a team and Grace Andrews, Strand, and Hilker each posted three. Sage Larson had seven digs and Rylee Bahe had 11 assists.
In the match with Hitchcock County, the Warriors also got the 2-0 sweep with set scores reading 25-20 and 26-24. Farner had 10 kills, Strand posted eight kills, and Hilker had six kills and three aces. Strand added 15 digs and Farner added 10 digs. Andrews had 15 assists in the match and Bahe added 10 assists.
Arapahoe is now 3-1 on the season and will host a triangular with Maywood Hayes Center on Tuesday, travel to Brady for a dual on Thursday, and travel to Hitchcock County on Saturday for a tournament.
Bertrand
The Vikings traveled to Cambridge on Thursday for a triangular with the Trojans and Alma. Bertrand split the matches.
In their match with Alma, the Vikings were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-13 and 25-16. Booklyn Evans led the team with six kills and seven digs while Katelyn Evans added six digs. Addison Andersen added 11 assists in the match.
In their match with Cambridge, it took three sets to find the winner after Bertrand took set one, 25-23, Cambridge took set two 25-23, and then Bertrand took the final set, 25-23. B. Evans led the team with 15 kills, four aces, and 30 digs. Shelby Schoene posted 10 kills, four blocks, and eight digs. B. Evans added four aces and the team totaled seven aces. K. Evans added 16 digs, Livia Philips had 15 digs, and Gracie Hock had 12 digs. Andersen had 37 assists in the match.
The Vikings are 2-2 on the season and will travel to Medicine Valley on Tuesday, travel to Hi-Line on Thursday for a triangular with the Bulls and Cozad, and will travel to Loomis for a tournament on Saturday.
Cambridge
The Trojans had a pair of triangulars last week. They traveled to Paxton on Tuesday to take on the Tigers and Sutherland.
In their match with Paxton, Cambridge got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-21 and 25-21. Mallory Springer had seven kills, Brooklyn Holtze had six, and Joslyn Holtze had six kills. Chloe Gooden and Elisabeth Kubik each posted four aces in the match. J. Holtze added three blocks while B. Holtze had nine digs and Kubik had seven digs. Emmerie Tomlin had 10 assists while Springer added eight assists.
Cambridge got the 2-0 sweep over Sutherland with set scores of 25-10 and 25-17. J. Holtze had nine kills and B. Holtze had eight kills. Kubik had 10 digs, J. Holtze had nine digs, and Tomlin had eight digs. Springer posted 11 assists and Tomlin added nine assists.
On Thursday, Cambridge hosted Bertrand and Alma for a triangular.
In their match against Alma, Cambridge was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-19 and 25-18.
In their match against Bertrand, the Trojans dropped set one 25-23, took set two 25-23, and then dropped set three 25-23 and the match, 2-1.
Cambridge is 5-3 on the season and will travel to North Platte St. Pat's on Tuesday for a triangular with the Irish and Dundy County Stratton and will host Overton on Thursday.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers hosted a triangular on Thursday with Arapahoe and Hitchcock County.
Against Arapahoe, Dundy County Stratton was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-22 and 25-15. Clara Spargo led the team with seven kills and Emily Schack added five kills. Ava Lutz had seven digs and Laynee Lutz had 13 assists.
In their match against Hitchcock County, the Tigers took set one 25-23, dropped set two 25-21, and won the third 26-24 to win the match, 2-1. Spargo had 14 kills and 12 digs and Schack added 13 kills. Abi Spargo had three aces and two blocks while Lexie Yrkoski had 13 digs. L. Lutz had 29 assists in the match.
The Tigers are 2-3 and will travel to North Platte St. Pats for a triangular with the Irish and Cambridge on Tuesday and will host Medicine Valley on Thursday for a dual.
Hi-Line
Hi-Line traveled to Medicine Valley on Tuesday for a dual and got the 3-0 sweep. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup and you can read more about this match here.
The Bulls traveled to Wilcox-Hildreth on Thursday for a triangular with the Falcons and SEM.
Against Wilcox-Hildreth, the Bulls got the 2-1 win after dropping set one 25-18, Hi-Line won the second set 25-18 and set three 25-22. Rilee Schutz posted seven kills to lead the team. Ellaray Koch had four aces, 13 digs, and 12 assists while Angel Nichelson had four blocks and Bentley Stubbs added eight digs.
Hi-Line was swept by SEM, 2-0, with set scores of 25-12 and 25-17. Allison Wall had four kills, Schutz had eight digs, and Koch had nine assists.
The Bulls hosted South Loup on Friday for a dual and got the 3-0 sweep. Lauryn Ruda had 10 kills and Wall had seven kills. The team posted 11 aces in the match and were led by Stubbs with five. Wall and Kylee Kubert each had three blocks in the match. Stubbs had 12 digs, Schutz had 10 digs, and Koch had eight digs and 23 assists.
Hi-Line improves to 3-2 on the season and will host Southwest on Tuesday, a triangular on Thursday with Bertrand and Cozad, and then will travel to Loomis for a tournament on Saturday.
Hitchcock County
Hitchcock County had a triangular on Thursday this week where they traveled to Dundy County to take on the Tigers and Arapahoe.
In their match against Dundy County Stratton, the Falcons dropped set one 25-23, won set two 25-21, and then dropped set three 26-24, and the match 2-1. Asia Homma had 11 kills to lead the team. Hitchcock County had nine aces in the match with Reese Tines leading the team with three aces. Riley Hagan had 12 digs, Jill Mcarthur had 16 assists, and Tines added 11 assists.
Against Arapahoe, Hitchcock County fell 2-0 with set scores of 25-20 and 26-24. Homma had six kills. Mcarthur had 11 digs and Tines and Hagan added 10 digs and three aces. Jayda Wood had seven assists.
The Falcons fall to 1-4 and will travel to Perkins County on Tuesday for a triangular with the Plainsmen and Wallace. Then, they will host a tournament on Saturday.
Maxwell
The Wildcats had just one match this last week on Thursday as they traveled to Brady for a dual. Maxwell dropped set one 25-16, won set two 25-15, dropped set three 25-10, won set four 25-20, and then won set five 17-15 to win the match 3-2. Rylyn Quick led the team with 11 kills, Victoria Quick posted 10 kills, and Emory Christensen had nine kills. Kristyn Cheek had four aces in the match. Kylee Wyman had 26 digs, Christensen had 18 digs, V. Quick had 17 digs, and Jenna Miller had 13 digs. Christensen also posted 28 assists.
Maxwell is 3-2 on the season now and will travel to Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday for a dual and then will travel to Loomis on Saturday for a tournament.
Maywood-Hayes Center
The Wolves hosted a triangular on Thursday with Southwest and Rawlins County, KS. Maywood-Hayes Center lost to Southwest 2-0 with set scores of 25-16 and 25-9. Against Rawlins County, KS, the Wolves got the 2-0 sweep.
On Friday, MHC traveled to Mullen and fell 3-0 to the Broncos with set scores of 28-26, 25-20, and 25-19.
Maywood Hayes Center is 3-2 on the season and will travel to Arapahoe on Tuesday for a triangular with the Warriors and Loomis, host Maxwell on Thursday, and then travel to Hitchcock County on Saturday for a tournament.
Medicine Valley
On Tuesday, the Raiders hosted Hi-Line for a dual and were swept 3-0 by the Bulls. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup and you can read more about this match here.
On Thursday, Medicine Valley hosted Arthur County and fell 3-1. The Raiders lost set one 25-19, won set two 25-19, and then lost the third and fourth sets with scores of 25-20 and 25-17. Remmi Stout led the team with 17 kills and Haylie Gustafson added nine kills. Gustafson and TeeJay Hildebrandt each had three aces with the team totalling 13 aces. Stout led the team with 15 digs while Oakley Stout and Kamree Elsten each posted 12 digs. Elsten also had 22 assists in the match.
Medicine Valley is 0-3 on the season and will host Bertrand for a dual on Tuesday, travel to Dundy County on Thursday, and then travel to Callaway for the Seven Valleys Tournament on Saturday.
Paxton
Paxton hosted a triangular with Cambridge and Sutherland on Tuesday.
In their match against Cambridge, Paxton was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-21 and 25-21. Jaleigh Hansen led the team with seven kills. The Tigers had seven aces as a team and Jakcee Mitchell had three of those aces. Sarah Brott had three blocks while Mitchell added 11 digs and Madison Hansen had 16 assists in the match.
Against Sutherland, Paxton fell 2-0 with set scores of 25-15 and 25-19. Brott led the team with four kills. J. Hansen had 15 digs and M. Hansen had 12 digs and 12 assists.
On Friday Paxton hosted South Platte for a dual and fell 3-0 with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 25-22. Brott and Emmalee Nicholson each had eight kills. J. Hansen had three aces and 13 digs, Nicholson had 15 digs, Cayla Peterson had 10 digs, and Mitchell had 10 digs and seven assists while Hadleigh Kramer added 15 assists.
Paxton falls to 1-4 on the year and will host Brady on Tuesday, travel to Garden County for a triangular with Eagles and Minatare, and travel to Callaway for the Seven Valleys Tournament on Saturday.
Southern Valley
The Eagles were home this last week as they hosted Gothenburg and Cozad.
In their match on Tuesday with Gothenburg, the Eagles were swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-22. On Thursday, Southern Valley hosted Cozad and got a 3-1 victory. The Eagles dropped set one 25-22 and then took the next three sets with scores of 25-23, 25-20, and 25-23.
Southern Valley is 2-1 on the year and will host a triangular on Tuesday with Franklin and Elm Creek, host a triangular on Thursday with Sutherland and Southwest, and will travel to Elm Creek on Saturday for a tournament.
Southwest
The Roughriders had a triangular at Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday with the Wolves and Rawlins County, KS and Southwest added two more wins to their record.
In their match against MHC, Southwest swept the Wolves 2-0 with set scores of 25-16 and 25-9. Aspen Billeter had 20 assists, three aces, and two blocks, Kyra Nelms had five kills, Anikka Nelms had six kills and four blocks, and Atleigh Nelms had six kills.
Against Rawlins County, KS the Roughriders got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-22 and 25-12. Billeter posted 25 assists and eight digs, K. Nelms had eight kills, Anikka Nelms had nine kills, and Atleigh Nelms had nine kills.
Sutherland
Sutherland traveled to Paxton on Tuesday for a triangular with the Tigers and Cambridge.
In their match against Cambridge, the Sailors were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-10 and 25-17. Reese Erbert led the team with six kills, Fallyn Elfeldt posted four aces and 16 digs, and Gracyn Elfeldt had 12 assists.
In their match against Paxton, Sutherland got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-15 and 25-19.
The Sailors are 2-2 on the season and will travel to Southern Valley on Thursday for a triangular with the Eagles and Southwest and will travel to Elm Creek on Saturday for a tournament.
Wallace
Wallace traveled to Arthur County on Tuesday for a triangular with the Wolves and Cody-Kilgore.
In their match against Arthur County, the Wildcats got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-21 and 25-13. Mallory McConnell had seven kills in the match. Devin Gisselmann posted three aces, McConnell added 16 digs, and Kaley Sauser had 17 assists.
Against Cody-Kilgore, it was another 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17 and 25-21. McConnell had eight kills, Reagan Finley had three aces and eight digs, and Sauser had 17 assists.
On Thursday, Wallace traveled to Sandhills Valley for a triangular with the Mavericks and Hyannis.
In their match against Sandhills Valley, Wallace got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-12 and 25-9. Finley posted 13 kills and Sauser had 10 digs and 21 assists.
Against Hyannis, the Wildcats got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-18 and 25-15. Wallace totaled eight aces in the match while Finley had six kills and nine digs and Sauser had 17 assists.
On Friday, Wallace hosted Creek Valley and dominated the game with a 3-0 sweep and set scores of 25-8, 25-17, and 25-5. The Wildcats had 18 aces in the match and had five athletes with three aces each: Sauser, Mariana Aceves-Lopez, Finley, Giesselmann, and Regan Martin. Finley had nine kills and nine digs and Sauser had 20 assists.
Wallace improves to 6-0 and will travel to Perkins County on Tuesday for a triangular with the Plainsmen and Hitchcock County as well as travel to Loomis on Saturday for a tournament.
Wauneta-Palisade
The Broncos had a single dual last week as they traveled to Cheylin, KS on Thursday. Wauneta-Palisade fell in five sets after winning the first two sets 25-15 and 25-19, they lost the next three 25-23, 25-15, and 16-14 to lose the match 3-2.
Wauneta-Palisade is 3-2 on the season and will host a triangular on Thursday with Rawlins County, KS and St. Francis, KS as well as travel to Hitchcock County on Saturday for a tournament.
