
Cambridge hosted Sutherland for an RPAC East versus an RPAC West clash on the hardwood. Cambridge came home victorious in both games.
In the girls game, it was close until Cambridge made a run in the second half to secure a 43-24 win over Sutherland. In the first half, scoring was hard for both teams to come by. Cambridge led 7-5 after the opening eight minutes and 15-11 at halftime.
Cambridge ramped up the pressure in the second half and got some easy buckets, pushing the lead to 30-19 after three quarters.
In the final stanza, Cambridge kept the pressure on, and closed things out with a 13-5 period.

For Sutherland, they were led by Addisyn Gunderson with nine points. Gracyn Elfeldt had eight points, and Elaina Dyer had six for the Sailors.
Cambridge was led by Mallory Springer with 20 points, Elisabeth Kubik had six, and Brooklyn Holtze scored six.
Cambridge moves to 4-7 and will play Maxwell on the road on Saturday. Sutherland is 3-8 and will be at Hitchcock County on Saturday.

In the boys game, Cambridge started quickly and used ball pressure en route to their 63-37 win. To begin with, Cambridge staked out a nice lead of 13-5 in the first period.
Cambridge kept things rolling in the second quarter, going up 29-15. In the third, Sutherland came out strong and got the deficit within nine. But Cambridge intensified their press and ball pressure. They increased the lead to 49-30 after the first 24 minutes.
In the final quarter, Cambridge kept their foot on the pedal and outscored Sutherland 14-7. We chatted with Hodge Raburn after the game.
Jackson Saner had 14 points for Sutherland. Mason Mortimer scored nine, and Ethan Holm had eight.
Cambridge was led by Maverick Webb and Hodge Raburn with 18 points. Brady Ahlemeyer had 14.
Sutherland is now 2-9 and will be at Hitchcock County on Saturday.
