It was another action-packed week of football in week 7. Each week, the games get a little more important and it's crazy to think this upcoming week is the final regular season matchups for 8-man football, and for 6-man they have two more weeks. But, let's not get ahead of ourselves and continue to love the football that has happened, and is set to take place.
Let's dive into the scoreboard from this past week before we get into the blog.
Dundy County Stratton & Alma
This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup on Friday. The score of 42-20 doesn't dictate how good of a matchup it was. You can read the full game story here.
The Tigers move to 6-1 and will have the week off as they were set to play Southern Valley who canceled their season. So, they will be 7-1 heading into the playoffs and will wait to see who they will play. Alma falls to 1-6 and will be in Elwood on Friday at 7:00 P.M. CT to play Hi-Line.
Arapahoe & Hi-Line
This was also an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup. Arapahoe won big 51-12 and the Bulls played hard but just couldn't keep up. You can read the full game story here.
Arapahoe is 7-0 and will play North Platte St. Pat's on Thursday on the road at 7:00 P.M. CT. Hi-Line is 1-6 and will host Alma in Elwood on Friday at 7:00 P.M. CT.

Bertrand
The Vikings faced their rival #5 Loomis in a D2-9 District battle. Loomis is one of those teams that has been playing at a high level all season long and on Thursday they kept up their strong play beating the Vikings 44-6. Jace Schuakar had 100 yards for Loomis and two scores. Graham Trompke was 10-13 passing with 130 yards and two scores for Loomis.
At the time of writing this blog, no stats for Bertrand were provided. The Vikings are 1-6 and will play at Maywood-Hayes Center for the regular season finale in Maywood at 3:00 P.M. CT.
Cambridge
The Trojans went to #6 Overton on Friday and fought tooth and nail with the Eagles. The Trojans fell by a final score of 40-32 but played right with the Eagles. Abram Norton was excellent with 235 yards passing, five touchdowns, and 52 rushing yards. Also on the ground, Brady Ahlemeyer had 42 yards and Jayden Ruf had 48.
Receiving, Ahlmeyer had six catches for 118 yards and three touchdowns, Hodge Raburn caught six balls for 46 yards and a touchdown, and Krayton Ruggles had 71 yards and a score.
Maverick Webb had 17 tackles on defense, Ruf had 14, and Braydon Miller had 11. Ahlemeyer and Ruggles each had interceptions. Cambridge is 4-3 on the season and will have a big game on Thursday, on the road which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup against Hitchcock County at 7:00 P.M. CT.
Hitchcock County & Maywood-Hayes Center
Hitchcock County hosted Maywood-Hayes Center on Friday and came away with a monster win, 46-0. No stats were provided from either team. Maywood-Hayes Center is now 2-5 this season and will play at home versus Bertrand at 3:00 P.M. CT in Maywood. Hitchcock County moves to 5-2 and will face Cambridge at home on Thursday at 7:00 P.M. CT. That will be an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Maxwell
The Wildcats played Bayard on Friday and had the offense rolling. They beat the Tigers 66-28. And it was the ground game that took over. They had 501 yards rushing as a team and three players with over 100 yards rushing. Kole Jones had 105 yards and three scores, Jesse Reyes had 209 yards and three touchdowns, and Chris Mckeeman had 142 yards and one touchdown.
On defense, Colt Gosnell had eight tackles to lead the Wildcats. Gosnell had 1.5 sacks and Jones had .5 a sack.
Maxwell moves to 3-4 and will play at home on Thursday against Brady at 7:00 P.M. CT.
Wallace & Medicine Valley
The Wildcats and the Raiders played an instant classic. The Raiders were oh so close to getting their first win since October 15th, 2021. But, Wallace hung on for a close victory, 14-12. Wallace led at the end of the first, 8-0. Medicine Valley countered with a touchdown in the second and it was 8-6 at halftime.
In the third quarter, both teams scored so Wallace led 14-12 going to the fourth. They clung to that lead until the end.
Colt Franklin was 5-8 passing with 35 yards. Conner Kennicutt had 13 yards rushing and a touchdown. Asthin Johns had 59 yards on the ground and Ivan Aceves had 43 yards. Masen Messersmith had an interception returned for a touchdown in the game too.

Wallace improves to 5-1 and will play at home against Wauneta-Palisade on Friday at 3:00 P.M. That will be an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Medicine Valley falls to 0-6 and will be at Paxton on Friday at 7:30 P.M. CT. That also will be an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Paxton
The Tigers faced #1 SEM and fought well but fell 44-21. SEM was led by Maddox Jones with 103 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Jordan Scoville had 172 yards and two scores.
No stats were provided by Paxton at the time of this blog being written.
Paxton falls to 3-3. They will face Medicine Valley on Friday at home at 6:30 P.M. MT.
Sutherland
The Sailors captured their second win of the season during homecoming as they faced Kimball. Sutherland won by two scores, 22-12.
Jackson Saner was 3-8 passing with 50 yards. He also had 28 yards rushing. Olliver Nutter had 23 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Ryker Copeland had 14 yards and a touchdown. Easton Smith had 45 yards receiving on one catch.
Defensively, the Sailors were all over the field. Copeland had 13 tackles, Tristan Maxcy had 12, Grady Dempcy had 11, Saner had 11, and Smith had 10. Nutter had an interception. The Sailors forced five turnovers in the game.
Sutherland is 2-5 and will play at Bridgeport on Friday at 7:00 P.M. CT.
Southwest & Wauneta-Palisade
The Roughriders and the Broncos played classic too. Southwest was able to win 41-39. Superintendent Drew Billeter tagged us in an X/Twitter post with the video of the game-winning touchdown pass.
What a game. Appreciate the video a ton. The Roughriders were down 31-19 going to the final period. But a 22-6 final 10 minutes from Southwest resulted in a win. For Wauneta-Palisade, Nathan Blackman had 64 yards passing and an interception. Kreyton Wiese was very good with 253 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Casey Walker had 27 yards and a touchdown. Blackman had 10 tackles.
For Southwest, Houston Billeter was 21-39 with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Jacob Barber had 64 yards and three touchdowns. Deric Kelly had six catches for 86 yards and two scores. Trenton Williams had 119 yards receiving and a score on 11 catches. For Southwest, Kelly had 15 tackles, Barber had 15, Billeter had 13, and Gage Hammond had 12.
Wauneta-Palisade is now 2-4 and will play at Wallace 2:00 P.M. MT on Friday which will be an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Southwest is now 4-2 and will be at SEM on Friday at 3:00 P.M. CT.
