WEEK 9 RPAC FOOTBALL RESULTS




This past week in the RPAC we had a mixture of the first round of the Class D1 and D2 Playoffs and also the final week of the regular season in Class D6.


Let's take a look at the scores and highlights from the previous week.



  • Alma made the trip to Central City on Thursday for the first round of the Class D1 Playoffs. The Cardinals found themselves down 32-16 entering the final quarter. Alma reeled off 20 points, but couldn't convert the final two point conversion to tie it up. Alma ends the year at 5-4.


  • Arapahoe fell to Hi-Line on Thursday 52-16, check out the game story here.


  • Cambridge ran into one of the top teams in D1 on Thursday at Neligh-Oakdale. The Trojans were down 44-14 at the half and couldn't recover. Kohan Grindle 236 yards of total offense and three touchdowns to lead Cambridge. The Trojans end the year at 4-5.


  • Maxwell made the long journey to Spalding to play the Riverside Chargers. The Wildcats couldn;t keep up with the Chargers strong offensive attack.


  • Hitchcock County faced Maywood-Hayes Center in the first round of the Class D2 Playoffs on Thursday. The Falcons started strong as they were up 64-0 at halftime. From their they maintained their lead and pitched the shut out. After reseeding, the Falcons are the #2 seed and host #15 Humphrey St. Francis on Friday.


  • Dundy County Stratton hosted Axtell in the first round of the Class D2 Playoffs. The Tigers did all of their scoring in the first quarter to leave no doubt in the game. The Tigers are the #8 seed in the second round of the playoffs and will play #9 seed Johnson-Brock on Friday in Benkelmman at 2:30 P.M.


  • Southwest battled Paxton on Thursday night and won in a close one 47-42. Mitchell Stritt had nine carries for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Southwest is the #12 seed in the Class D6 Playoffs and will take on Parkview Christian, the #6 seed on Friday.


  • Wallace faced one of the very best in Class D6 on Friday evening as they fell to Arthur County 71-40. Wallace was led by Carson Glunz once again with 129 yards and three touchdowns. Wallace will go to SEM, as the #16 seed and play the top seeded mustangs on Friday.


  • Wauneta-Palisade played Brady in a must win game for them to have a chance of getting into the playoffs. For the Broncos, they lost, 30-22. They were led by Jacksen Littrel with 110 yards and two touchdowns. Their season ends at 3-5.
