Week 9 RPAC Football Results


Well, the season keeps winding down my friends. And we have completed the first round of the Class D1 and D2 playoffs and then the D6 regular season has wrapped up and it's playoff time.

Before we get into the blog, let's check out the MNB Realty Football Scoreboard.



Arapahoe


The Warriors were the #6 seed in the initial seeding of the Class D1 Playoffs. They faced #11 seed Sutton. Sutton is one of those programs that is always tough. Arapahoe came away with the narrow victory, 21-16.


Arapahoe scored all 21 of their points in the first half, and they led 21-8 at halftime. Sutton scored another touchdown in the third period and cut the deficit down more. Arapahoe got tough in the final period and held on for the win.


Kade Fisher took the reigns of the quarterback position and was 1-2 passing with 38 yards. He had 43 yards rushing and a touchdown too. Will Cacy had 23 carries for 163 yards and a touchdown. Grayson Koller had 40 yards and a score. Cacy had 38 yards receiving.


Koller led the Warriors with nine tackles and Cacy and Briggs Hill each had seven.


The Warriors move on in the Class D1 playoffs, they were reseeded as the #9 seed and will play Shelby-Rising City on Friday at 5:00 P.M. CT.


Dundy County Stratton


The Tigers were the #3 seed in the initial seeding for Class D1 and played #14 seed Boyd County. The Tigers won big, 62-16. It was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup so you can read the full blog here.


The Tigers are now 8-1, and will play #12 seed Lourdes Central Catholic at home beginning at 4:00 P.M. MT. DCS is the #5 seed.





Cambridge


The Trojans were the #9 seed in the initial Class D2 playoff bracket and they faced #8 seed St. Mary's on the road in O'Neil. The Cardinals took no time getting rolling as they scored 24 in the first half to Cambridge's six.


In the second half, they outscored Cambridge 28-6. They were led by Gage Hedstrom on the ground; 19 carries for 266 yards and five touchdowns. He also threw for 92 yards and two scores.


No stats for Cambridge have been provided at this time. Cambridge ends the season at 4-5.





Hitchcock County


Hitchcock County was the #6 seed in the initial bracket of the Class D2 playoffs. They faced a solid #11 seeded Wilcox-Hildreth team. It was a thriller and Hitchcock County won, 30-28.

Hitchcock County is now 7-2 and the #12 seed in the reseeded bracket. They will hit the road and play Wynot on Friday at 2:00 P.M. CT.





Maxwell


Maxwell was the #15 seed in the initial seeding of the Class D2 Playoffs and they faced #2 seed Sandhills/Thedford. The Wildcats fell in the game, 68-12. The Knights started strong and never looked back, scoring 40 points in the first quarter to Maxwell's six. They maintained that lead and never looked back.


No stats at this time were provided for Maxwell. They close the season at 4-5.


Wauneta-Palisade & Medicine Valley


Wauneta-Palisade faced Medicine Valley with a chance to win, and give themselves a shot at making it to the Class D6 State Playoffs. Well, the Broncos were able to get the win and then sneak into the playoffs too. They beat Medicine Valley 59-20.


Nathan Blackman was 2-5 passing with 28 yards and a touchdown. The Broncos had two 100-yard rushers. Casey Walker had 141 yards and two scores and Kreyton Wiese had 156 yards and four touchdowns. David Bryner had a touchdown too.


Grayden Sutherland had 10 tackles to lead the Broncos. Sutherland and Wiese each had a sack.


The Broncos are now 4-4 and are the #16 seed and will face #1 seed SEM on Friday on the road at 6:00 P.M. CT.






Southwest & Paxton


Southwest and Paxton battled on Thursday and it was the Roughriders winning 31-6. Southwest had a nice game on both sides of the ball. Houston Billeter was 15-19 passing with 186 yards and two touchdowns. Billeter added 30 yards rushing and a touchdown. Trenton Williams had 10 carries for 49 yards.


Deric Kelley caught seven balls for 107 yards and a touchdown. Damario Koetter had a catch for 10 yards and a score. Williams had 40 yards on five catches and a touchdown.


Williams and Billeter led the team with nine tackles.


No stats for Paxton have been provided at this time.


Paxton ends the season at 4-4.


Southwest is 5-3 and is the #13 seed and is set to face #4 seed Garden County on Friday at 5:00 P.M. MT.


Wallace


The Wallace Wildcats faced the #1 team in the state, SEM on Friday. The Wildcats couldn't keep up with the Mustangs, falling 64-39. Wallace had a ton of success moving the ball on the ground, 323 yards as a team. Ashtin Johns had 93 yards and a score, Jorge Valadez had 44 yards and a touchdown, Josiah Peyton had 51 yards, Ivan Aceves had 47 yards, and Tyson Sullivan had 79 yards and three scores.


Conner Kennicutt caught one ball for 18 yards. Colt Franklin was 1-5 with 18 yards.


Johns led the tackling effort with nine.


Wallace is now 5-3 and will be the #11 seed in Class D6 and will face #6 Arthur County on the road, on Friday at 2:00 P.M. MT.
